Earnhardt dominated this race after jumping the start (and then getting
lucky when the 1st yellow came out for Lake Speed almost immediately
afterwards). In the last few laps, Earnhardt began having problems with
his right rear tire, which allowed Labonte to catch him from a
straightaway behind and overtake Earnhardt for the win with 12 laps to go.

I wanted to pull my hair out. Earnhardt made about 10 mistakes in this
race. Jumping the start, not making pit stops. That was the only thing I
didn't like about that man. He wouldn't make a pit stop if HE felt it
was unnessacary.

I just re-watched this race on one of my old tapes. According to the

Yeah, McDuffie was still recovering from the burns he suffered during
Speedweeks. His son Jeff attempted a few races in his car over the next
few months but failed to qualify for any of them. (J.D. returned in May)

No, this was the 168th win for the No. 11 car in the Cup series. The
100th win came at Dover in 1977 with Cale Yarborough driving.

It was however, the 100th win for Junior Johnson's 11 car. I'm sure
that's what Biffle16 was reffering to.
