This race was Michigan Lotto winner Jay Sommers's only Cup start and the final start for Indiana farmer and trucker Joe Booher who would be killed 5 years later in a Goody's Dash race at Daytona. 2. He also ran in ASA for a few years after winning the lotto. 5. Thomas posted: 02.06.2007 - 7:40 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I thought I remembered him from the old TNN ASA broadcasts. He drove a #22 Ford. I think it was black and usually didn't have a sponsor. Now I know why! 6. Morgan subbed for three teams in 1988 and had top 10 runs for all of them at least once. 7. RaceFanX posted: 11.14.2008 - 12:44 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) NASCAR debut of Dana Patten 8. Benny Parsons used to run there as well during 1965-67 as did Joe Ruttman a couple of years later. Benny stepped up and became a two time ARCA Champion in 1968 and 1969 before going back to NASCAR full time in 1970 (he ran a few NASCAR races in 1964 and in 1969). 9.
