Rusty swallowed his tounge and was knocked unconcious, but Dr. Jerry Punch who was on pit road at the time was able to revive him. 2. Almost dies and the next day finish 9th in a show car that was earlier in the day at a mall on display! That takes guts!!! 7. Ronnie Thomas was in the #41 Everide Radiator Chevrolet, Morgan Shepherd was his self-owned #57 Heinz Ketchup Buick (he got really loose in 1st round qualifying, which was at nightand 2nd round was in the daytime), Tommy Ellis was driving the #90 Bulls Eye Ford, for some reason(?) which had Sunny King Ford on the 1/4 panel instead of Bulls Eye. The #20 of Mader had no sponsor whatsoever on it. 11. Anonymous posted: 06.06.2011 - 9:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Bulls Eye would only sponsor Benny Parsons as the #90 driver but Benny was going to retire at the end of the year and the team was struggling so they decided to give Jimmy Means and Tommy Ellis a shot with Junie's associate sponsor Sunny King in a couple races. Means finished 24th after starting last at Bristol and Ellis DNQ'd as you can see in this race 12. Matthew Lewis posted: 12.21.2017 - 6:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Why no #67 of Buddy Arrington? Here is proof there was a #67 there. (McDuffie was still recovering from burns at Daytona and didn't enter the spring Bristol race of 1988 and Miller wasn't promoting their High Life brand in 1987, and doubt McDuffie was still entering a 1987 Pontiac 2+2 as late as 1989...and Brad Teague's #67 from 1989 would have been in the U-Can-Rent colors I believe for the spring 1989 and Arrington's team had shut down by the fall 1989 Bristol race) https://photos.app.goo.gl/JQxfRv1t2TP9dJhz2 It is possible Mike Potter could have DNQ'ed Arrington's #67 for this race instead of his own #64 as they were in a collaboration in 1987 and 1988 with both of their teams and Chet Fillip's #81 in 1987. 17. He went out for his practice run and told his crew chief Joey Knuckles that it was the worst car he ever drove. Knuckles then told him that he was fourth fastest of anyone practicing. 19.
