Darrell got a good run off of 2 and went low and Rusty blocked him all the way to the inside to slow Darrell's momentum and held him off to win as he started his late-season tear that came up just short to Bill Elliott for the championship which he would get in 1989. 6. I don't have it on tape but I seem to remember there was something fishy about it. 9. This was not only Bodine's best finish of the season but also his best during the two-year tenure he raced Bud Moore's #15 Ford. 15. It was one of three races in the 1988 season that were edited down to 1hr, tape delayed and syndicated. The first Martinsville race was the last SETN did. The the first Pocono race and this Charlotte race were done by SCORE. 18. Dan posted: 12.14.2018 - 4:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #17 - Nope, '91 spring Atlanta race. 19. At the time, the closest affiliate was 90 miles away. 21. Corey posted: 12.14.2018 - 7:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The 1996 Diehard 500 was supposed to air live on CBS , but because of the rain delay, they moved on to their next scheduled programming. CBS did eventually show it but it was a week later on tape delay. It is this taped delayed coverage that I'm asking if it was flag to flag or not. 22. He wrecked in practice, breaking several bones and did not partake in qualifying. source: https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/sports/1988/10/06/for-the-record/925c7380-3ec8-48f9-9589-0cda00fa803b/ 23. That race was supposed to be live flag to flag coverage. This race I believe is the last race where flag to flag coverage was never planned. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
