Two things: One, I don't really know what the Dale Jarrett line is and
two, this win by Dale came on the same weekend Ralph was inducted into
the NMPA Motorsports Hall of Fame

I remember those comments from Jarrett, I believe Ernie Irvan wrecked on
the same lap when they both got in oil, though Irvan was in the wall a
lot during his career and into other people... He about killed Bonnett,
Earnhardt, Marlin, the whole 1992 D500 field and himself numerous times

Jerry Punch interviewed DW right before the race as he was getting his
helmet on. He looked big time nervous. Punch said "Darrell Waltrip about
to have a shot at not only the Winston Million but also his first ever
Southern 500 win" and DW let out a breath like he had been holding it
for 30 seconds plus a schoolgirl giggle and said "I know that". lol

Caution 1: Debris (was never shown on the broadcast exactly where Greg
Sacks hit the wall so no clue where the debris exactly was on track)
Available footage skips the 2nd caution
Caution 3: oil on track
Caution 4: #71 wall contact backstretch. (It's atypical to just see a
caution for light contact with the wall so either this was some very
heavy contact or there was debris, so I just put down what the broadcast
said)
