In the race Dale Earnhardt was running 200mph+ laps in the draft. 2. Greg Sacks had a super-strong car, and at the race's end he and Earnhardt pulled away from the rest of the field. However, Earnhardt was just as strong and was able to hold Sacks off for the win. 3. smiff posted: 12.14.2006 - 8:09 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Bill Elliott got his car about 4 feet up off the ground in a crash with Dick Trickle but the car settled before it could go any higher. 4. NHRA driver Darrell Gwynn was paralysed and dismembered in a crash in London the week prior to this week. The Greg Sacks team was crew chief'd by Gary Nelson and Gary DeHart. It was the first time they worked together on that car. Sacks gave Dale Earnhardt everything he could handle. 5. In the wake of the news today, I have gone and watched that YouTube staple clip of him and smiled. As for the race itself, Greg's car was so much faster than Dale's. He could pull up to Dale at will, but Dale would break the draft or use a slower car as a pick to perfection, and he won. 14. sk posted: 10.15.2013 - 11:28 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Best Cup finish for 2-time ARCA champ Bill Venturini. 15. I remember watching the final 25 laps or so of this race live after a little league game. Was pulling like hell for the SlimFast car. 22. Jenkins then went on to mention how Michael nearly drowned earlier this past week. However, no further description was ever mentioned. Does anyone know how this nearly happened 23. On the broadcast it mentions that Darrell Waltrip told Jeff Hammond that he couldn't get checked up in time and got some damage in the wreck, though neither Hut nor DW are listed as being involved in that crash. 25. GoRC10 posted: 09.28.2020 - 7:39 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) @24 I believe the standards for being listed in a caution were different, as recently as four or five years ago. A car that caused the caution but drove on was never listed as being involved. 26. JSPorts posted: 09.28.2020 - 8:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Now, I'm pretty sure it's just any car that touched another car that was involved, even if the damage is very minimal. Did that start when they created the Lucky Dog rule? 27.
