During the last caution he came in for a pit stop because the crew thought it was a 500-lap race. Cost him 3 or 4 spots 7. We don't see this anymore thanks to NASCAR's dumb gear rule. 11. Brandon Caldwell posted: 06.14.2010 - 5:01 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) A caution flew on lap 490 of 492. Ken Schrader's team pitted for 4 tires and a chassis adjustment. He pitted in third place. He came out as the last car on the lead lap in 5th place, only losing two spots. But still, the team must've thought it was a 500 lap race. 12. I don't think they'd have minded, Alan! What a great champion and tireless worker taken too soon. 13. The North Carolina superspeedway's two races were among several that the "Worldwide Leader in Sports" decided to drop from its television package for the 1991 season and that move opened the door for The Nashville Network to pick them up for its new TNN Motor Sports broadcasts. 16.
