They were running 1-2-3, Kulwicki got loose on the botton of Irvan in turn one, and all three spun but were undamaged. 6. You'll be hard pressed to find this good of racing anywhere. 9. nascarman posted: 05.26.2015 - 1:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Qualifying Results: (Incomplete at the end because round 2 of qualifying was done race morning. Josh posted: 12.14.2017 - 5:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The #47 car owned by Derick Close and driven by Greg Sacks had a one race deal with Ukrop's Stores, and the car had a slightly different paint scheme from the typical white and blue that had run in 1990 and thus far in 1991. There was a thick red stripe around the bottom of the car and the numerals were also red. Mark Martin's car actually caught fire under the hood during the fifth caution. Dale Earnhardt dropped a cylinder in the middle stages and struggled home two laps down because of it. Davey Allison probably had the best car, but got caught on pit road under caution two different times. The first time a hung lug nut put Davey back in 10th on the restart, from which he charged back up inside the Top 3. The second time Davey was caught speeding. Despite these events, Davey still found himself leading in the late going before developing a loose condition out of turns 2 and 4, allowing Gant to pounce. 12. That Busch race was the first Nascar race run at night at Richmond. 13.
