Just last year, he was in the top 10 at Watkins Glen until he got spun out late in the race. As for this race, they had all but postponed this race to Monday morning before starting it at 5pm or so (they showed it in place of the Senior PGA Bank of Boston Classic Final Round, which was postponed). As a result, I couldn't get any of this race on tape. 9. MegaRacer posted: 03.31.2007 - 2:42 am Rate this comment: (5) (3) 1. Denny Wilson's one and only career Cup race. Shame because i had him as 1993 Rookie of the Year AND Winston Cup champion. 2. James Hylton had this in the bag but decided to pull out after one lap because he didn't wanna show everyone up and beat 'em by 10 laps or so. That and NASCAR didn't want a car sponsored by a flower shop to do such a thing and wind up in Victory Lane. Tough guy sport (back then anyway) and a flower shop as winning sponsor. Poor press for NASCAR! (I'm just having fun, my friends...don't take me seriously!) 10. Allison even said after getting out how he would probably be able to go the distance no problem next week at michigan 16. Almost everyone on the lead lap pitted, so it was very congested. The next lap, Schroeder pitted. Hindsight is 20/20 but had Schroeder simply stayed out, he may very well have won the race or at worst finished Top 5; there is a points difference of 60-70 between that and 20th where he ended up. 38. It's interesting that the TV broadcast had an early version of the "cable cam" that FOX and NBC have used years later for their broadcasts. With 1992 being the first year of the bus stop chicane, ESPN used the cable camera to give viewers a great shot along the chicane. 41. Joshua posted: 03.29.2019 - 7:14 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) 41 Maverick I doubt it, there have been races at Daytona and Talladega and even a few times places like Charlotte and Atlanta where there were 45, 50, even 70+ one race at Talladega, so I'm sure one of those has a fewer laps led total than this. 43. Ed posted: 03.29.2019 - 8:16 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @Joshua, the lowest "most laps led" at Talladega is 24 twice, and Daytona is 25 if we don't count the qualifying races 44. Joshua posted: 03.29.2019 - 9:28 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) 43 Ed These totals of 19 are probably the fewest most laps led, then. One factor that helps is that Watkins Glen only has 90 laps to begin with. 45.
