Again a fast car w/ bad luck in the pits; no hope of winning till Kyle spins while leading and collects Dale, Sr. Also of note; 1st of 4 straight for Mark. 2. Big surprise back in the early 90's to see team cars take the top two or three (however many teammates there were) spots in the race. Funny; Jimmy Spencer hates road courses, yet he finished a solid 3rd in this race. Road racer P.J. Jones finished in the Top 10 for the first time (8th). Scott Lagasse (the driver who raced the #24 DuPont truck in 1995) debuted with what would be his best career Cup finish (13th; he would finish 36th in this race a year later, his only other start). 7. He won this race after having multiple bad pit stops as a result of bad studs on the right rear hub. 8. Rich Woodland started one at Phoenix on Halloween that year (and caught fire). 9. Canadian Fan posted: 01.03.2007 - 9:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYna23uXO1s 10. Steve.M. posted: 03.31.2008 - 1:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) yepp after the crash that Petty and Earnhardt was in Dale Jarrett gave Kyle a ride back to the pits. While they were coming through the inner loop Irvan came up beside the car and i guess they were havin fun or something, anyway Irvan hit the side of Jarretts car (not hard) and Petty's head came out the window. It sounds bad but it was pretty humorus at the time. 12. fcfz posted: 02.10.2010 - 4:33 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) yeah martin won 13. 00andJoe posted: 03.10.2011 - 12:07 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) First non-Winston-West-combination-race Cup Series start for Scott Gaylord. 14. He lost control and spun off onto the grass at turn 6, losing no speed before slamming the tyre wall. The car was launched into the air and a series of pirouettes, but Rick, after assistance, was able to walk out of a truly torn up race car. 24. Bodine didn't do too well running back and forth with the Cup car and finishing the Busch season anyway. Had they done that Todd Bodine, and not Jeff Burton would've won Rookie of the Year in Cup for 1994. By that time it was worth a good bit of money, plus the rookie program would've given out more money for each race Bodine started in 95. 26. The Roulo Brothers team brought their #39 Pedigree Chevrolet team up from ARCA to run this one, having previously done a road race at Heartland Park Topeka with Lagasse driving on that tour, and Scott's strong run here would turn out to be their best effort in the Cup series. Cup and ARCA cars were compatible at the time of this race. 29.
