Joe Nemechek had a hard crash in this race in which he pounded the
outside wall on the backstretch coming off of turn 2, got up on two
wheels, and landed back down and spun into the inside wall and hit it so
hard he ripped his hood and back bumper off of the car.

Earnhardt has brake issues for most of the race which proved to be a
hindrance in his performance.

Forgot to add that Earnhardt had a loose left rear tire take a second
place finish away in the final 10 laps.

Loy Allen, Jr. won the pole for the Daytona 500 but a week later barely
makes the field here, starting last.

The Commentators For The Race Were Mike Joy, Glenn Jarrett And Buddy
Baker. The Pit Road Reporters Were Randy Pemberton And Ralph Sheheen.

Jeff Gordon took a hard driver's side impact in the turn 2 wall with
roughly 20 or so laps left. He then gave his future teammate Wally
Dallenbach a gesture of displeasure as the 43 rolled by under caution.

This was Rusty Wallace's third Rockingham win in a row. The Penske MGD
#2 won both races here in 1993 with their Pontiac Grand Prix and then
won again here with their new Ford Thunderbird. This was Wallace's fifth
and final win at the Rock.
