Mike Wallace tried to go below Jarrett and they hit very hard. After their collision both cars slammed the turn 4 wall head-on. It was a scary accident to see, but both drivers walked away. 3. It wasn't a problem for TNN since the NHRA race from Reading, PA they were covering live was also being delayed by rain in the northeast. 8. sk posted: 09.22.2013 - 3:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great ride for Joe Nemechek, his first and only top-5 as an owner/driver. 9. 23andJoe posted: 02.25.2014 - 6:33 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The Great Dave: Was that #66 car really Fisher's, or Standridge's? Because they can't have BOTH driven the #66. 10. Anonymous posted: 06.06.2014 - 4:32 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The #66 was definitely Fisher. As The Great Dave said, photos of his qualifying accident prove this. 11. wrank fakefield posted: 08.24.2014 - 11:40 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) It'd be interesting to see how many times a driver has lead 400 laps in a single race. Can't have happened very often in the modern era. 12. Anthony posted: 11.23.2014 - 3:04 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Kyle Petty did it at Rockingham '92, Kyle Busch at Bristol in 2008. 13. Jolly Mean Giant posted: 07.06.2017 - 9:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Rick Mast went from the lead to 20th all in the span of the first 10 laps because he got stuck on the high groove. John Andretti had a violent crash early in this race for the second straight Dover race in a row. He was running in 6th place on lap 40 when Hut Stricklin, running 7th, tapped him in between turns 1 and 2. Todd Bodine, in 8th, rear-ended Stricklin as he checked up, sending the #26 spinning down into the inside wall on the backstretch. Bodine's damaged car slid up and impacted Andretti's #37 just as it violently backed into the second turn wall, causing the #75 to momentarily get up on two wheels. All 3 drivers were OK, but they were all done early after running strong in the opening laps-Andretti was out on the spot, while Stricklin and Bodine briefly rejoined the race before retiring. 14. esayem posted: 10.03.2017 - 8:55 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Billy Standridge: Phillips "66"/ Trop Artic Ford owned by Berendt Johnson and Billy Standridge. Terry Fisher #67 owned by Ray DeWitt. 15. Jimnsimforever posted: 03.11.2019 - 5:10 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) At the time, best career Cup finish for Bobby Hamilton in 2nd. First time in a very long time that there was a Cup race where it looked like Richard Petty's STP car had a real shot at winning the race for the entire race. 16. Texas posted: 08.07.2019 - 11:41 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) To back up what was said earlier, Terry Fisher was driving 66, it is still listed as 67. Plus, he should be listed as WD. He crashed on his first qualifying lap and did not have a back-up car, the team then withdrew. 17. David posted: 08.08.2019 - 8:12 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) If Fisher attempted qualifying and didn't make the race, it's correctly shown as a DNQ and not a WD. It's a WD only if he bailed before qualifying, or afterwards -- if he'd actually qualified. And if Fisher really was in the #66 then what was Billy Standridge driving? The #67? Standridge attempted numerous races late that season, including this one, every one of them in the Ray DeWitt #66 after leaving the #47 that he had run earlier in 1995. 18. It's happened before where two cars are entered with a three-digit number, but the last two digits are the same. For instance, there could be a 166 and 266 entered in the same race. If both cars qualify, I believe the car that's higher in owner points gets to use the number, the lower-ranking car would have to use a different number. 19.
