The next week, a NASCAR editorial cartoon depicted the Hendrick Motorsports engine department getting a thank-you note from Mark Martin. 2. How the hell the caution was not out when Dale crashed, and why did Earnhardt finished 41st and cannot get back into the racetrack with his damaged car? Anyone? 8. He destroyed the right side of his car in the crash, and as a result did not return to the race. Elliott Sadler had a pretty hard crash on the backstretch in this race. 9.
