Nemechek's first win -- seems to always show up and despite driving in
subpar equipment or for a subpar team, always has one weekend where he
simply dominates.

I missed the end of this race, and that evening when I saw "1. Joe
Nemechek" on the ESPN ticker under NASCAR, I originally thought they
were showing the results from the Busch race. It was quite a cool
surprise when I came to my senses moments later and realized that
Nemechek had won in the Winston Cup Series!

I was there. That morning on the way to the track my buddy asked me who
was going win. I pointed up at the thermometer and it was 42 degrees. I
only said it as a joke. I guess I was right though.

You could add the 5 and 75 to the 1st caution. Both cars spun and got
little damage.

Best finish of 1999 for Rick Mast, a year in which Mast was running at
the finish of all 34 races, and garnered two Top 10's.
