If NASCAR rules in favor of him while making a wrong call Ex: Talladega April 2004. 3. If a race were to finish under caution. 3. What's ironic is I was hearing an NRA commercial with Ward right before he said this: "I wish I would have something I would have shot through the window." 5. da man wins again posted: 01.26.2005 - 6:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) yeah jake, baby e pulled another cheap shot 6. And Jeff getting his first win of the season with a classic Earnhardt move. Priceless. 7. After contact with Jerry Nadeau under caution knocked an oil line off, he was doomed to a 24th place finish. 8. Darrell posted: 10.16.2005 - 11:37 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Furthermore, NA$CAR often rules in Junior's favor anyway, and Rusty spun out Darrell Waltrip to win at The Winston back in 1989 anyway, so what Jake is complaining about I have no idea.(Would he be saying the same thing if Junior or Mikey had pull that move? I doubt it.) 10. Jason posted: 12.29.2005 - 5:03 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great race, with so many upset drivers, showing their emotions afterwards. Bump n run by Gordon on Wallace with 2 laps left to win, eerily similar to the 97 Food City 500 at Bristol. Gordon's first win in almost a year. 11. smoke20ri posted: 04.04.2006 - 2:42 am Rate this comment: (1) (1) I am not a Jeff Gordon fan but it is awfully tough to overlook his accomplishments. Top 5 driver of all time along with the King, DW, Dale, Bobby Allison. You probably could argue Cale but that puts Jeff sixth worse case. 12. On a positive note in this race, Mike Wallace (10th) scored his first Top 10 since Phoenix in 2001 and Bobby Labonte finished in the Top 10 for the first time since his win at Martinsville. 14. If anything, all those races Dale lost at Daytona were fixed, so there would be more headlines and coverage for the sport... It's all about the Munay!!! Dale took many for the team at Daytona, heck, some argue he even took his life for Nascar at Daytona, which is more idiotic! Nascar owes everything to Dale... Elliot Sadler Crashed out and hit the side of the ambulance with his hand. Later on Hut Stricklin crashed out and clapped Mayfield. Then Robby Gordon wrecked Johnson on a restart which resulted in Jimmie flipping Gordon off. Then Ward Burton crashed out and threw his heel pads at Dale Earnhart Jr. The TNT guys put a tally up of all the amount of temper loses. The funniest one on there was ambulance abuse. 31. Andre posted: 02.26.2011 - 8:08 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I'll be frank with you all up front (but... can I still be Andre?). I'm a Jeff Gordon fan. Yep, have been since early '95 when I started watching the sport. I always thought his bump and run move was great. He wanted that win so bad, man. Just... so. Friggin'. Bad. He chased Rusty down, layed a little love tap on him, and moved him out of the way. I just found this race on VHS today, and after watching it, I had to come here and rant at how beautiful a move the bump and run really is, when executed perfectly... the whole night, guys like Robby Gordon, Jeremy Mayfield and even Dale Jarrett bumped guys to the point where their rear wheels were lifted off the ground. At a place like Bristol, that's pretty damn easy to do, as evidenced by the 15 cautions this particular night. But, like he did in '97, Gordon ever so slightly, maybe even politely, gave Rusty enough of a nudge to move him out of the way. Not wreck him, not spin him out, move him. A real thing of beauty. In these current days of struggle for the 24 team, I am unashamed to say I am still a die-hard fan. 32. RCRandPenskeGuy posted: 08.31.2011 - 3:15 pm Rate this comment: (2) (1) Jeff Gordon beating Rusty for the win in this race originally pissed me off, NOT because of the move, because a bump and run is legitimate game and is simply a result of hard racing. But as a Rusty fan, I was pissed that he lost this race. But one thing that I don't think people remember is that Rusty actually did the same thing to Kevin Harvick to pass him for the lead late in the race (which he held until Gordon bumped him). It was totally worth it, and I was cheering my ass off for Rusty to hang on to the lead. That's why I never complained much about Jeff doing it to him; I was just mad that he lost. 34. The people of the world voted between pink, purple and aqua with purple winning out thus Schrader drove a purple car in this race. Tony Stewart and Home Depot had a two race crossover promotion with the Peanuts comic characters that saw him running two seperate looks based off the Halloween special "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."
