Robby was 4 laps down, made all of them back up, and led a bunch of laps before finishing 4th. 2. ogarek posted: 06.14.2005 - 5:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) this was the race when nadeau was hurt in practice. also of note kevin harvick wrecked his teammate jeff green. after the wreck green had heated words with harvick's crew and with richard childress. on the tuesday following this race green was released by rcr 3. dalejrrules14 posted: 02.26.2006 - 4:44 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) i was at this race i was upset that nadeu was injured bcause i was born where he was so anyways overall it was fun and i got on tv at the bucsh race the night b4 4. That was stupid...they could've kept on going and they know it. 14. john posted: 09.01.2007 - 7:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I was at this race and the best car crashed very early. Jimmy Spencer started 25th and you could visiably see he was the fastest car on the track. He wad his way from 25th to 3rd all under Green Flag when he cut a tire and crashed in Turn 3. Definetly the strogest car. Also It was neat to see Robby drive like 5 laps with a cut tire. he was so sideways it didn't think it was gumanly possible to drive like that and not crash. Truely raw talent. 15. Great run for Robby Gordon despite all his problems. Solid, decent effort for the underfunded BACE organization. 17. He drove as a replacement for the injured Jerry Nadeau. 18. Anonymous posted: 01.09.2008 - 6:07 am Rate this comment: (3) (0) Yeah, it was rain. The sky just opened during the caution, there was going to be no restarting it. And Dalejrfan, Nemechek had them all beat. He'd have won whether or not they'd run the last few laps. 19. myself posted: 08.19.2009 - 2:02 pm Rate this comment: (6) (18) Nemechek had no business in a Hendrick Car....much like Dale Jr. has no business in one! 20. Joe Nemechek winning for two relatively small organizations beforehand (with cars not nearly on par with the Hendricks, Yates' and Roushes of the day) and being given an opportunity by one of the sport's greatest owners is blasphemy. PURE BLASPHEMY, I TELL YOU! lol Anyway, I won't touch the Dale Jr. comment. ;) 21. 18fan posted: 11.30.2010 - 12:58 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Third straight second place finish for Labonte. 22. The Power of Cheese, a slogan the dairy board was using at the time, was enough to put Terry on the pole one last time but he'd have to wait until later in the year to end his long losing streak. 23. Not only was he from somewhere we had been through several times, but he wasis a class act as always. I remember he coached a Nationwide or Cup drive in recent years, but I can't for the life of me remember who it was. 29. Spencer had the same setup that Ward Burton had with him the year before. His crew chief was Tommy Baldwin Jr. BTW. Burton also left the race early before a problem and he dominated the night portion of this race. 32. The car still raced but there should be some way of recording that Nadeau was entered and practiced the car. I guess the question is should it be listed when drivers are withdrawn or only when entries are? 34. George posted: 06.26.2016 - 10:38 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Just my .02 but I think it should be listed. Anyone looking at the results can see that the car made the race with a different driver, so obviously (if this makes it onto the site) the reason for being listed as a withdrawal was not the car being removed but instead because of the driver change. 35. In the Chase era, these bad runs mean nothing. 37. rm posted: 12.18.2017 - 3:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 66 of Fukuyama withdrew after crashing in practice. Never made a qualifying attempt. 38. How come Park came out unscathed then? 41. rm posted: 03.21.2020 - 12:07 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Park did mention in his interview that his crash was pretty much a carbon copy of Nadeau's and was a bit surprised at the opposite outcomes. With as many nasty hits that Park endured in his career, it's relieving to be able to say this wasn't one of them. Mike Skinner and Ricky Rudd essentially hit fuel cell to fuel cell late in the going, and while it wasn't at very high speed it was still a hard collision nonetheless. Somehow no fire broke out at all, and while both cars were done for the rest of the (very short) night, it could have been scarier. 42. Sunoco posted: 03.21.2020 - 7:39 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Park hit more nose-first instead of pancaking flatly into the wall. Less flat. Less serious of a hit than Nadeau. 43. Anonymous posted: 05.12.2020 - 5:37 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Jack Sprague was involved in 3 cautions in this race. In a six race stretch beginning at Darlington, Sprague accounted for 13 cautions. No wonder his rookie campaign barely made it to the halfway mark of the 2003 season. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
