Green hit the inside wall head-on with such force that the dirt bank re-enforcing the guard rail exploded outward from the energy of the impact. The wreck spoiled a good run for Green, he was running 7th at the time of the wreck. The resulting chaos also ruined one for Mike Skinner who was also collected in an incident while running in the top-20. In an ironic twist, the dirt bank had been added after Steve Park's flip the previous year which like Green's wreck came at the wheel of the yellow DEI Pennzoil #1 Chevy. 10. You don't expect Terry to do those kinda things 11. 1995z71 posted: 02.15.2012 - 2:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Skinner was 39th in points at this time. Looks like Green came down to block Labonte at the moment Labonte pulled out to pass and ended up getting punted. Not sure you can blame Terry for that one. 16. Running top 5 after a green flag round of pit stops when a tire went down and he was in a firey wreck going into the tunnel turn. His season never truly had any sort of competitive edge after this although he did finish seventh a couple of times. 22. The pit road reporters were Dr. Dick Berggren, Steve Byrnes and Matt Yocum. And in the Hollywood hotel were Chris Myers and Jeff Hammond. 23. A lot of that was due to the 100-lap green flag run that included two green-flag pit stop cycles, letting the lead cycle around as different drivers pitted. Plus there were 7 drivers up front who were on a slightly different pit strategy. A funny tibit from this race was when when Jimmy Spencer came back on track around lap 75 after repairs on his car and Mike Joy said "a new rear end for Jimmy Spencer [awkward pause] 's car." At least he clarified that Jimmy Spencer himself did not get a new rear end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
