Junior now ties Jeff Burton and the late Davey Allison for most wins @ Phoenix w/ 2. He had he not ran outta gas while leading in '02, we'd be talking about his 3rd Phoenix win. 2. Jeff Gordon had a great run going, but on worn tires, had nothing for Dale Jr. He raced Jeff clean and really showed a lot of respect out on the track. Congrats to him. Two races left, 4 drivers within 48 points! 4. Darrell posted: 12.28.2005 - 7:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Ward Burton's last start. 5. Since this race, he's only won 3 more. 10. Labonte's car featured various members of the animated family on the sides of his car while Hamilton Jr's Tide ride mainly featured the mother character. RCR and Jeff Burton reran the special black-and-blue paint scheme AOL used to promote the NASCAR IMAX 3D movie that came out earlier in the year again at this race but without any references to the movie on the car. 11. This race's poll question was "Of the 4 tracks that Jeff Gordon has not won a Cup race on, which will he win on first?" A-- Phoenix (28%) (2007 #1) B-- Homestead (22%) (2012) C-- Texas (23%) (2009 #1) D-- Chicagoland (30%) (2006) 22. Ranked from highest to lowest percent: Chicagoland (30%) (2006) Phoenix (28%) (2007 #1) Texas (23%) (2009 #1) Homestead (22%) (2012) 23.
