Michael Waltrip was in the same boat heading to Charlotte last year, came home in second in the 600 and that was the spark his team needed to jump all the way to the top-twenty in points by the Firecracker Daytona event. Hopefully Labonte can do the same. Harvick, Biffle, Sadler and Waltrip all pieced together nice runs ignored by the telecast. Ricky Rudd has had three nice weeks in a row; a solid qualifying effort at Talladega spoiled by problems, a thirteenth at Darlington and an eleventh here tonight. His team may be picking up the pace at the right time, as Rudd's status for next year (retirement) has come into doubt. 10. Congrats Kasey!!! No one deserves it more than you. The first one is always the hardest, but we all know its only one of numerous wins to come. GO #9!!! 11. All those fuel mileage wins he got by topping of on the caution after he won the lucky dog... 13. And who's "pooman"? 16. biffle16 posted: 05.25.2007 - 9:24 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Pooman??? LOL!!! 17. The Dodge Charger was a serious million dollar mistake that blew up on the Dodge teams, Chevy had been using their Monte Carlo for going on 3-4 years, Ford teams stuck with the Ford Taurus for five years. Dodge had the Intrepid from 2001-04 but it was a better race car than the Charger was and sometimes I wish they never switched it, especially as teams were getting the hang of it. Sometimes a car may look good, but it can be terrible on track. 22. This partnership would continue on and off for many years up until about 2012 or so. 24. It was one of those rare moments for what seemed like a bulletproof team even back then. 25. KaseyKahneFan94595 posted: 08.17.2020 - 4:06 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Ah yes. One of my all-time favorite races. Felt like a long time coming after the utter pain that was the 2004 season. Felt the same way during the 2018 Watkins Glen race. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
