Greg Biffle dominated the later portions of this race and definitely deserved to win. He's having a great year and I'd love to see he and Johnson have a championship duel at Homestead; right now they're the class of the field. Scott Riggs had a great run for a team that had had some bad luck of late and needed a good pickup. Nice job by those guys. Nemechek, though, was abysmal all day, totally off the pace. Rusty Wallace and Mark Martin were both good. Newman took fuel only on his final pit stop and backed up. Jeff Burton and Michael Waltrip had good runs as well, working hard. Waltrip especially was impressive in staying in front of the leader for as long as he did with an ill-handling car near the end of the race. His bad luck this year (engine failures in the first two races, tangling with Jeff Green twice, and being punted by his own teammate) shouldn't take away from the fact that he is doing some of the best driving of his career. 3. Both drivers were, thankfully, alright. There have been some rumors that Biffle might've purposely backed the car into the fence on his burnout, that the car was sporting an illegal spoiler or height issues, but I don't really see that. Maybe if it becomes a recurring habit. 5. Brian posted: 06.11.2005 - 1:15 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Congrats to Biffle. Finally his true skills are being shown. 6. A win would have been great for Sadler since his season went downhill a few weeks after this race. 9.
