They should put Terry in the car for the rest of the year sans Talladega (supposedly he has vowed to never drive another plate race) and try to fix things. 4. Also good job Travis Kvapil on a strong run at the beginning. He'll a great driver if he's given the right amount of time. 5. larry spencer posted: 10.06.2005 - 9:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Hey Kurt Jimmy Spencer never forgets!!!! 6. Casey Mears was one lap down in 23rd, while McMurray missed the CHA$E, Marlin was in an accident, and Stremme cut a tire and hit the wall. And folks, please don't view Miller4Prez6 as a typical Rusty Wallace fan. I am a Rusty fan, and I would never say something as ofensive as: "Jimmy Spencer is a fat ass moron that will never win in NASCAR again." Seems to me that someone who would say this is a harsh ass. 9. Steve posted: 07.01.2006 - 7:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Sorry, I was paying more attention to my point rather than my spelling. I am one of the few Kurt Busch fans, not so much Kyle but they both can drive! 12. Even though he won 4 races in 2005 including the Daytona 500 i'd consider 2005 arguably one of the worst years in Jeff Gordon's career. He only had 14 top tens and had 12 finishes of 30th or worse! Thats one out of every three races! 13. Daniel posted: 05.24.2012 - 11:18 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) In using fastest 43: #75 Wayne Anderson Out using fastest 43: #49 Ken Schrader 14. This was Texas Terry's last start in the FedEx #11. 17. It seems to be one of the more recent ones missing in some video websites. It may be due to a Greenday song "Wake Me Up When September Ends" copyright? in the segment about Jeff Gordon's performance leading up to this cutoff race to decide the 2005 chase for the cup field 19. 5 posted: 04.04.2017 - 7:34 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Funny stat about this race is Terry Labonte getting a top ten in the 11 FedEx car for JGR. He's the only other person to get one besides Denny in the history of that car and was the first, too. Considering where the 11 car is today, I'd say Terry helped a little with the early confidence when they finally closed the deal on a top ten run leading laps too. 20. I think I agree with you. Terry Labonte was my favorite racer until he retired from full-time racing, and it wasn't until 2008 I picked Denny Hamlin as my new favorite racer. Also, in case you didn't know, Terry ran a test in Montreal in the car that Kevin Harvick won the inaugural race there in the then-named Busch Series in 2007. 21. But I do agree that Terry probably helped the team get stability after Leffler. 22. As the field was getting ready to double up at the one to go, Johnson sped up out of turn four and suddenly spun around with a flat left rear tire. NASCAR put the caution back out to make sure the track was clear, but after Johnson pit to change the tire the team determined that the culprit wasn't debris after all. Johnson had made contact with another car not long before the caution that caused a slow leak in the tire, and to compound the Hendrick woes, that other car was the #25 of Brian Vickers. Vickers had been experiencing transmission issues, causing some erratic car movements as he tried to downshift to get to pit road to work on the car and thus initiating the contact with teammate Johnson. Luckily for Mr. H and the HMS brass, the fourth Hendrick car of Kyle Busch was in the top five during all of this and went on to finish there as well. 26. thecautionlightnews posted: 09.25.2020 - 10:06 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I am actually suprised nobody made a joke about Scott Riggs' sponsor. The "Chevy Rock and Roll 400" promotion was never as highly promoted as the 2001-2002 Looney Tunes one was and other than Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Kevin Harvick taking part (the latter mostly because of wrecking the black/gold Sugar Ray car and then going after Ricky Rudd post-race in 2003) I think many have likely forgotten this was a thing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
