First win for Jeff's new crew chief Steve Letarte. Denny Hamlin continues his strong runs with an eighth place finish. 2. Denny Hamlin is impressive again, and Jeff Burton had a great run as well (despite tangling with Rusty Wallace late in the going). Ricky Rudd seemed to be involved in everything that went on, but he still finished eleventh with a car all torn up. Kyle Petty, fourteenth, shows he can still mix it up. Jeff Gordon returns to Victory Lane; I thought Stewart was better, but Gordon was on when it counted and took the win. 3. dalejr8 posted: 10.24.2005 - 1:33 am Rate this comment: (0) (4) fixed. 4. dalejr8 posted: 10.24.2005 - 1:33 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) one year sinec the acidant. 5. He won there earlier this year! Stop saying such stupid things. I am glad to see Jeff win. Congrats to Denny Hamlin. 6. "They name roads after guys like that: one way and dead end." "If he came by here now I'm afraid I'd have to strangle him." 11. Burton and Rusty himself stated that Rusty had to get out of the gas and Burton didn't have time to react. 16. About Tony's interview: if you didn't see this race, sometime between Lap 400 and 450, leaders Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart had caught and lapped Greg Biffle, and Tony had a whale of a time trying to get past the 16. When Tony finally got under him coming out of Turn 4, he gave Greg a donut for the trouble he'd been given, and Greg attempted to repay the favor by hepling Tony into Turn 1. Fortunately he missed. If he hadn't, Tony would have been... what word that means angry and rhymes with missed? 17. Hamiliton drove James Finch's #09 Miccosukee Indian Gaming Dodge for the only time in his career and finished 39th after an oil leak 18. In one of the most absurd, bizarre and incomprehensible race-control decisions of the last 20 years, NASCAR threw the green flag to restart the race on lap 297 despite Hermie Sadler's stalled car sitting right in the middle of the track on the start-finish line. He wasn't down by the inside wall or anything like that - he was about a lane or lane-and-a-half further inside than the lapped cars were. After half a lap, they very rightfully brought the caution back out. No clue how that was allowed to happen, that seems like something straight out of 1955 and not 2005. 26.
