I mean he is an ok driver and all but the only reason he is even gettin mentioned is because he is black.Face it.By the way nice job Kyle gettin a nice 8th place run. Too bad for Bobby Labonte....... 7. If Bill Lester had wrecked Jeff Gordon, the Jr. fans would be a bit less hateful toward blacks for the next week. Just the truth. Since Lester did neither, Jr. fans are the same as usual. 8. Even the nerd Jeff Gordon fans would have been using racist language if Lester wrecked Gordon at the end of the race. 9. D.E.I. A good day turned disasterous. 13. the 'billy club' posted: 05.27.2006 - 7:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Man, can't wait to see more of Bill Lester for the rest of his races this season and beyond. Steve posted: 07.23.2006 - 2:51 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) It's cool that Bill Lester made the race, but I don't think we should have minorities in NA$CAR just for the sake of having a diverse field. African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Hispanics, women, and even people from other countries shouldn't be in Cup for the sake of diversity. They should be here because they're talented, and just happen to be female, or Hispanic, or what have you. If a driver is given special attention because they are a minority, yet runs 30th every week, would it be fair to a Caucasian driver who also typically runs 30th? Technically, racism is treating someone of a different ethnicity differently, whether it's better or worse. The drivers who get better opportunities should be the drivers who have more talent than the rest, reguardless of nationality, race, skin color, or gender. It's similar to the "no Americans are in Formula One; they're all Europeans" complaint. Now we have Scott Speed, but he hasn't performed well. I'd rather see a Yankee in F1 who can run with Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso on a consistent basis. Someone like Tony Stewart or Robby Gordon. Someday we may see a minority driver in Victory Lane again, or even at the top of the Nextel Cup standings. That's when the statement will really be made. 16. biffle16 posted: 01.13.2007 - 8:45 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Biffle finishing 16th was a borderline felony. He should spend a couple hours in jail before he goes home, because he didn't deserve it. 17. He qualified the car in the top 20, despite it being the part time Bill Davis ride. This shouldn't have been terribly surprising though as he was known as a strong qualifier but rarely matched his qualifying results in race trim. I remember watching this race, he just had no speed. 33. Martin had 10 top-5 runs at Atlanta after the track's mid-1997 reconfiguration but never won on it. 35. Stremme was a lap down fighting for last, the two victims were in the top 5. David Stremme was a complete trash can. 38.
