Miller4Prez64 posted: 06.19.2006 - 3:56 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) This is the first rain shortened race since the 2003 Coke 600 I believe. Good job Kasey, 4 wins in 15 races is pretty damn good. I'm suprised none of the teams in the back of the back tried to win the race on pit strategy, the only team that tried was Reed Sorenson's team and it gave him his first top 5. 6. Kasey Kahne winning 4 of the last 5 race events (including this race) from the pole? He oughta be nicknamed "Pole-man" from now on. And congrats to Bill Lester, or "Billy", for showing improvement for this race compared to his last one back in March. Go Billy!!! 8. mk17ce99 posted: 06.19.2006 - 6:55 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) If Lester wasn't out there in the first place Kenseth wouldnt have ran into him on pit road LOL! Not a bad finish for Lester, just wish Matt's spotter was on his game. The collision did considerable damage to both cars, but worse to Kenseth's front bumper. Onto Sonoma which hopefully will be a good race and have some more competition and not just Stewart, the road course ringers and the Gordons. 9. Explains so much about Kahne's driving ability does it not? 12. Miller4Prez64 posted: 06.19.2006 - 3:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Actually the 9 team from last year became the 10 team, Kahne did get the 19's team but the 19 is a new team really 13. dalejrfan15 posted: 06.19.2006 - 4:09 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) hmmm i noticed even though lester finished 32nd most of the people who finished worse than him got more money!thats not very fair. also congrats to junior for his first top 5 at michigan!i was cherring for him like crazy when he was side by side with gordon and edwards for the lead! i agree with the rain postponement.just not during the school year lol. 14. Darrell posted: 06.19.2006 - 6:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Thanks Miller. I was confused about that. I just remember Kahne getting Mayfield's old cars. The reason for the 74 car's DNF is quite puzzling. Team officials said that there was a transmission faliure, here it says overheating, and Cope says they parked to save the engine for Chicagoland (apparantly some big sponsor's coming through that weekend). Lester was all over the place on the leader's board. I highly doubt he'll ever make it to Cup and run solid, even with Toyota's support. Don't get me wrong, Lester is one of my favorite truck drivers, and I'm glad to see more minorities get involved in the sport, but he just doesn't have "it" to make it in Cup. The same "it" that caused Jason Leffler and possibly Casey Atwood to fail. 15. dalejrfan15 posted: 06.19.2006 - 11:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) as much as i hate gordon i would never wish anything bad on him like the moron with the comment above me 16. jgmf17 posted: 06.20.2006 - 7:04 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I think Lester, will probably do well enough to be a servicible driver, he'll do decent enough in cup considering his age and he'll barely be starting out, but should be good enough to be in the top 30 in points, i think. Which ain't much but not so bad bank wise obviously. he'll probably show flashes of what could have been a good driver had he been involved at a much earlier time in his life. By the way good runs for the 24,41,99, and finally mears cracks the top 10 after a while out. 17. dalejrfan15 posted: 06.20.2006 - 4:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) It would be a dream if he [Lester] could win.It probably wont happen but i can dream right. 18. STbastien posted: 06.20.2006 - 10:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I would have shortened the race for plastic rain, once again at michigan speedway... Lester is quite old, about 45, he may fight hard to drive a good ride. I think there was a loudon shortened race after the 2003 coke 600, might be wrong though. 19. Anonymous posted: 06.21.2006 - 5:16 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) i think loudon was 2002 20. Mr. Etc posted: 06.22.2006 - 8:09 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Well, technically, the red flag is like pausing a game or CD (and it was under caution at the time of the "pause") so that would be correct how the site has it. 22.
