First career start for Brandon Whitt. 4. Either way, if Juan Pablo or David Stremme beat one car at Homestead, the #40 is locked into the Top 35 for the first 5 races of 2007. Elliott Sadler would need to finish 31st or better, and Kyle Petty just needs to stay on the same lap as Sterling Marlin, and keep him in his sights. If Sterling doesn't finish 30th or better, he has no chance. And none of this will matter if he is unable to post a quick enough qualifying time (I hope he makes the race to have a chance!) Notables: (not many) David Gilliland gets another solid finish (16th) Kevin Harvick's 10th win Michael Waltrip's 675th start (42nd) Brandon Whitt's debut (43rd) 5. Juan Pablo Montoya will attempt at Homestead in the #30 Dodge! I know it's 34 races too late to mention this, but Sterling Marlin and Joe Nemechek are teammates once again (both drive for SABCO in 1998 and 1999). 6. The cookies were sold in packs of Oreo-like but with Reese's peanut butter in the middle and to my knowledge have since become quite hard to find. 11. ii posted: 11.14.2010 - 7:54 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Actually, Darrell, it was Whitt's only start. 12. 18fan posted: 11.09.2011 - 6:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The most dominating performance of Harvick's career to date. The 2014 Ford EcoBoost 400 will soon become the final race of not having 43 Americans and then (don't think Montoya will qualify) the 2015 Daytona 500 will end the streak. 17. This race's poll question was "Should Cup regulars be limited to the number of Busch/Truck races they compete in?" YES -- 72% NO -- 28% 24. lemonhead75 posted: 04.01.2020 - 8:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Brandon Whitt did a great job making this race, considering the team and his limited experience. His only other start that year was an ARCA race, and he had a DNQ to go with each of them. They showed up for the first 3 races of 2007 together, then the team made a change to go to the Nationwide series. 25.
