FOX never did come back and say what happened...if they did I didn't pay attention. Toyota continues to struggle to find themselves early in the season. Still wondering tho, will Mark sit out Bristol, or will he keep going? 3. william neason posted: 03.12.2007 - 9:27 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) How many other times have the top 10 finishers not had a single one qualify in the top ten? 4. Other notes: best LV race IMO 3rd consecutive win here for JJ 2nd consecutive race Jr has a pit problem with less than 15 to go (Hey its better than last year) worst race for toyota so far First Rookie of the Race for JPM Legendary Jon Wood competes in first start Allmendigger coming up a little short to qualify And to wrap it up, i have never seen so many cars break loose and recover in a race before. A+ race. This is my new favorite track. 5. Pork Rind posted: 03.12.2007 - 5:41 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Mark Martin should run every race in the #01 car. Let Regan Smith get his seat time in another car. Mark Martin can still win a championship. Regan Smith has not done much in the Busch series, and should run there for a few more years. Mark Martin is not washed up. 6. Anonymous posted: 03.12.2007 - 5:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Looks like Jeff Gordon's team has finally figured out the intermediate tracks again. Uh oh. 7. Robby Gordon went unsponsored because Harrah's backed out and Monster has yet to agree to a deal with him. At least Kenseth or Kandy Kahne didn't win. 8. As opposed to Sterling Marlin's situation when Coo Coo passed away, Ricky had his active consecutive starts streak to maintain. 11. Foyt (started 11th) 2: 86-Buddy Baker (started 12th) 3: 49-G.C. Spencer (started 14th) 4: 19-J.T. Putney (started 28th) 5: 88-Neil Castles (started 24th) 6: 46-Roy Mayne (started 27th) 7: 44-Larry Hess (started 15th) 8: 03-Reb Wickersham (started 19th) 9: 75-Gene Black (started 23rd) 10: 57-Lionel Johnson (started 30th) Highest finishing top-10 starter was the polesitter, Marvin Panch, who finished 12th. 12. Everyone that started in the top 10 DNF'ed, after leading 130 of 160 laps. AJ Foyt, who started 11th, led the other 30 laps and won. In case you didn't figure it out, it's been 1,421 races since that happened. 13. william neason posted: 03.14.2007 - 9:02 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Thanks Mike for answering my question, I did check it out on Jayski. 14. Who would have thought by the end of the year Mark Martin would be running for DEI and Sterling Marlin and Joe Nemechek would be in different rides and Kenny Wallace wouldn't have a ride! lol! I could go on and on! Very Interesting! 16. Nuck Chorris posted: 03.15.2008 - 2:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Actually Kenny Wallace has a full time ride in the Busch series. 17. Spen posted: 10.02.2018 - 6:21 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) The old qualifying rules helped here. Good qualifying runs for most of the major Dodge teams. However, most of the lead changes were during pit stops. Hendrick still led over 200 laps. In my opinion, the best intermediate race in recent memory was the 2009 labor day race at Atlanta. Most of the lead changes were on-track and tire wear was a huge issue. It made for a race with a lot of 'comers and goers', with no one clearly dominant. 27. fkhalil posted: 02.08.2019 - 11:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The pole speed was 12+ mph faster than the year before. The race track went from 12 degrees of banking to 20 degrees of banking. 31. In addition, I believe there was one race in the 60's but I'm not sure. 33.
