Maybe instead of a brain scan for busch we should get his spotters eyes checked. Good to see Treux get his first win. It's also about time Waltrip qualified for another race. I thought he'd be stuck with negative points forever. 6. freshgeek posted: 06.05.2007 - 4:19 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) First time since Daytona that a Hendrick car was not in the top 5 7. b4il3y posted: 06.05.2007 - 8:58 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Nice comment Mr.C about Mikey. Toyota is getting better however. They've made huge strides since day 1. They're not there yet, but I think they will be by 2009. Truex Jr. had the best car all day, and maybe was the most dominating performance of the year. The car would never stray from the bottom. Great job Robby as well :) 8. SO i guess since DEI is a winning team again, and since ill be 16 next wednesday , ill be changing my name to DEIFan16.Starting with this post. Back to racing. Amazing how nobody really commented about missing the race due to the rain out, being in school at the time, I decided to watch the live leaderboard on Fox Sports from laps 296-379 and the final 20 laps on the television cause my teacher is an avid fan ^__^ So sad that Dale finished bad though, he qualified on the front row for the first time since the spring Darlington race of 04! Hes getting a better qualifying package im sure of it.And to close out thiscomment I say very happilly...WOOOO DEI OWNED HENDRICK! Sorry, i just couldnt help,...nor did I expect it to happen...and you have to admit it, they did truly own them, for the first time in the COT Hendrick didnt lead a lap. 10. Congrats to both Martin and Casey! A bigger congrats needs to go out to Michael Waltrip, this has been a long season! 12. biffle16 posted: 06.10.2007 - 2:36 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) RIP BF Jr. My dad lived just a few blocks away from you. I was away at summer camp for this race. I should go to summer camp more often, because everytime I do, Greg has a top-15 finish: 2005 Infineon: 14th 2006 Charlotte: 7th 2007 Dover: 6th And kudos to Greg for avoiding the Busch/Stewart incident, and more importantly, finishing 6th in your first race with a new crew chief. One last thing: Truex, even though I don't like you, thanks for winning. That Hendrick stuff was getting old. 13. One of Sterling's better runs of the year. Also, Mikey finally qualified for a race since Daytona. 17. This was the very first NASCAR race to have a Non-profit organization as its title sponsor, VISA footed the bill to make this the Autism Speaks 400 18. One of the nurses said something along the lines of "what the heck is Truex doing up there?" when I answered her question as to who was leading. 36. Gabriel posted: 04.09.2018 - 8:10 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) @35 Cool story! The fact Truex Jr put up pretty decent stats when DEI was a subpar team at this point in 2007 shows me how good Truex was as a driver. It's a shame DEI folded, and that his next win wouldn't come until 2013, and of course that was when he nearly lost his career for something he had no involvement in, but I've became a fan of him since Spingate, and was happy he got that Championship last year for a team out of Denver! 37. JSPorts posted: 04.09.2018 - 8:59 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I wonder how good his career could look right now if he wasn't put in all those unfortunate scenarios. He was with DEI in its final years, early years of EGR, early years of MWR, then all the spin gate stuff. Of course, if that hadn't happened, he may have never won a title. I'm so glad for him that things turned out the way they did, in hindsight. Who would've thought you could ever say that in the fall of 2013? 38. Jimmie4life posted: 06.28.2018 - 7:25 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) It took Michael Waltrip from Fontana/Auto Club to Dover to qualify, a total of 11 DNQ's in the first 12 races... wow. 39. TheDewCrew posted: 05.01.2020 - 10:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The sixth caution is incorrect. Michael went up the hill in turn 2, brushed the wall, but kept going. The contact in turn 2, caused the tire to go down in turn 3, hit the wall, and spun in front of the field in turn 4, and amazingly hit no one, although Sterling Marlin came close to hitting him. It should be #55 spun turn 4 40. LW97 posted: 11.19.2020 - 7:09 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) A dark weekend, since on the same weekend Bill France Jr. passed away. But it nevertheless had a good end with Truex' maiden win. At that time we saw that as his first of many wins, and in the end it would be, but it would take six more years until victory #2. 41.
