Im not angry that he didnt make the chase, I knew he wouldnt, Im just angry that all of his TEI (I spelled it right) engines sucked wind all year. Now all he can do is try to win one without blowing another. 2. Also Great Top-5's for Ragan & Johnny Sauter Yeley gets a much needed Top 10 & How bout Reutimann's best finish. And before I forget....come on Truex, bring one home for DEI 4. That's it in a nutshell. The guy's got zero talent and zero ability. Sucks that Harvick had to make the Cha$e and not Dale Jr., who really deserved it. 5. Mr. Big posted: 09.11.2007 - 3:08 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) One absolutely amazing run for Johnny Sauter, and the same said for David Ragan. Two upset finishes, and neither of them were luck. Johnny's one heck of a driver, he's just in a bad car. I guarantee you if he was still with RCR, he'd be in the Top 20 or maybe even the Top 15 in points regularly. 6. Anonymous posted: 09.11.2007 - 12:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I reckon Sauter's a guy to watch next year. Both of his top-10's this year have come in COT races, and with the COT being used in all races next year, he could be a top-10 regular. 7. Zac posted: 09.12.2007 - 2:29 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) What a horrid year for Dale Jr. As he's running in the top 3 with about seven laps to go, his motor blows and his Chase hopes are gone; not that he was going to make it anyway because Harvick was sitting behind him in 8th. Excellent runs for Sauter, Ragan, and Yeley. You didn't even hear Yeley's name mentioned at all. And while David Ragan had a fast car, there's no way he was going to pass Jimmie Johnson, at least IMO. I'll say though, I'm still a bit skeptic of this whole COT car. I mean on the one hand it's really awesome to see a guy like Johnny Sauter or David Ragan run well all night and get a finish they deserve. It kind of closes the gap between the bigger teams and smaller, less funded ones. But on the same token, it's just... I don't know, hard to describe. It's like it's missing something and when that something is found it'll make everything better for me. 9. Dodge posted: 09.12.2007 - 12:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 2 notes.......... 1) How can people say that Jr. really deserved to be in the chase. He doesn't because he wasn't consistent week to week. It don't matter if it is because of engines, wrecks, or any other problems that teams face. 2) In case all of you don't know but Sauters owner is in a lot of legal problems. He made up these fake businesses so that he could lessen up his taxes so he blatenly lied. I don't know if those teams will continue after this year because I don't think sponsors would want to sponsor a convict's car. I guess the coming weeks will determine what happens with that. 10. DaleJrFan16 posted: 09.12.2007 - 8:45 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Jr deserves to be in the chase more than anyone Dodge. He would probably be in the top 10 maybe even 5 if not for his horrible luck. 11. Sean posted: 09.12.2007 - 11:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Zac, Ragan is hardly driving for a less-funded team. Roush is not having their best year, but they're still pretty respectable. Sauter is driving a Hendrick engine at a COT race, and Hendrick seems to have these type of tracks figured out this year, enough so Johnson, who had an atrocious record here until now, swept both races this year. Nonetheless, I'm happy to see somebody different up front... 12. Somerandomnascarfan posted: 09.12.2007 - 11:11 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) First top 5 finish for Haas CNC Racing. 13. Dodge posted: 09.13.2007 - 1:49 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) DaleJrFan16 Probably doesn't matter. There is no I in team. The whole team struggled to keep the consistentcy up. 10 top 10's in 26 races isn't good 38% 6 finishes between 31-43 won't get the job done 23% I am sorry but the fact is that he doesn't deserve it this year. As I said already in this post, THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM. P.S. I am not saying that JR. doesn't ever belong in the chase, just this year. 14. DaleJrFan16 posted: 09.13.2007 - 10:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) hmmm point taken :-/ 15. Zac posted: 09.14.2007 - 12:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yeah Sean, I guess you are right. I just keep thinking Ragan is with a bad team because he hasn't performed at all. I talked out of my ass on that one, but it was still cool to see him do that. And you've also got a point about Sauter, too. It's Hendrick's hammy downs and I guess he should run well, huh? Having said all of that, all of them have underachieved this year with good teams and it seems like the COT lessens that gap in these races. 16. This kid showed skill and he continues to show it at the cup level right now! He showed his skill this day and Ragan might have had his first win this race had it not been for Tony. But Ragan will get quite a few wins in his Cup Career! and as a Ragan fan(Former Bill Elliott Fan) I will be happy as hell to see it!! 21. Dale Jr had a shitty year!! I GOT THE POINT ESPN!! Let's not hear him talk about it forever!! What he should have said was "I am overrated!" and that would have been right!! 22. jp posted: 03.01.2009 - 3:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Jr. Well, someone has to bring up the rear I guess. 23. Not only that, but Johnny Sauter finished 5th in the Haas #70 car. I feel like Johnny could have been a very successful Cup driver in the right situation. I don't feel like he was ready in 2004 when he got the RCR ride. 34. SK posted: 03.16.2019 - 10:45 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Johnny Sauter was lightning-quick right from the get go, and had made it from 35th into the top-ten well before lap 100. During the yellow-flag stops that followed Joe Nemechek's accident, Johnny hit the gas before his right-rear tire was fully changed and came off the jack, a mistake that sank him right back to around 30th, but he gamely shook it off and motored into the top-5. Up until the final green-flag run, it seemed like Johnny had a real shot at the win, but the usual suspects (and David Ragan out of nowhere) were a little too quick for him at the end. Yeley all huge Top 10's during that race Yeley had some solid runs on the smaller tracks and this race got a Top 10 good news, Bad news he only got one 2 other Top 10's between after this race and 2019. But one was a Daytona 500. 36. Anonymous posted: 03.14.2020 - 9:30 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Kyle Petty led laps 338 & 339. Kyle Busch didn't lead this Richmond race. 37.
