Jr takes the lead, but is spun out by Kyle Busch with 2 to go. Bowyer passes them both dring the incident and goes on for the victory. Very very exciting race in my opinion. Kyle Busch just lot 10,000 more fans (if he had that many to begin with) Great runs for Bowyer of course, Mark Martin(in the top 5 all day) Truex, Sorenson, Labonte, and Travis Kvapil. 2. So thats why he was parked. 3. Clayton posted: 05.04.2008 - 9:11 am Rate this comment: (1) (1) Kyle Busch pulls a move that Jr's father did the best! It was a hell of a finish and a great race. Mark Martin just stayed where he was all race! Michael Waltrip deserved to be park and I am surprised that NASCAR parked him since he drives a Toyota! race was ran runder a Green White Checkered which is why it is 410 laps! Oh man what a race! 4. On a night it seemed Junior would finally break his winless streak at the track he last won at, he didn't. Who really expected Bowyer to win with 15 laps left? Not me. The 11 car crash at Lap 231 (OK, NASCAR.com says 14, FOX said 11, I counted 12) was the biggest one of the year so far if I'm right. Didn't really expect the Big One to happen at Richmond of all places. 5. Now that that's out of the way... Overall: Easilly the worst race of the season (Even if Jr won it would have been the worst.) 4 LEAD CHANGES, 380 laps led by one driver. However that Big Crunch as I like to call it was brutal. Carpantier was like a blade going back into traffic. He totalled everyone he touched :P And now...I wait...for as 72nd time :-( 6. Dodge posted: 05.04.2008 - 10:20 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I disagree to the call of Waltrip parked. Casey Mears has no clue what he's doing out there. He probably ignored his spotter and decided to cut Mikey off. As a reult, Mikey has a car that he has to have his team fix and as an owner driver, he don't like it so he showed Mears what he thought of it by inflicting more damage to Mears car. I would not be surprised to see Mears gone from Hendrick for 2009. Rumor had Hendrick and Gibbs trying to sign Carl Edwards until he resigned with Roush-Fenway. 7. Promoting the release of the Live-action film version of Speed Racer, released on the Friday after this race, Bobby's car was painted like the Mach 5 from the show, complete with a big "M" on the hood. Labonte finished 13th. How did Patrick Carpentier win more money than Kurt Busch? Did he get some money for his good qualifing run? 8. Carpentier was racing as clean as a rookie can race. He is learning the big cars still. It is unfortunate that you have clowns like Blaney and Yeley that have no business on the track that caused the Big One at Richmond. Carpentier really took hard hits (inside wall, the 2 car, the 38 car). I believe that Carpentier will soon be capable of being competitive. Anyone know how many wrecks J.J. "Wreckfest" Yeley have been in. I imagine at least 6 of the 9 races he's been in he's wrecked but not sure. 9. Neal posted: 05.04.2008 - 2:57 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) When is NASCAR going to wake up and realize there are serious issues with the performance of this car on virtually every track except Daytona and Talladega? Having one guy lead the first 381 of 382 laps at a short track is ridiculous. Had Denny not lost the tire nobody would've been able to touch him. The aero push is worse, not better, meaning every race the leader is practically untouchable. 10. WillG_46 posted: 05.04.2008 - 3:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Kyle Busch is a no driving fool. Debris on the track was the official reason for the caution being thrown. 15. Dodge posted: 05.05.2008 - 7:10 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) How did Patrick Carpentier win more money than Kurt Busch? Did he get some money for his good qualifing run? I believe the reason is that the 10 car ran fulltime last year. Since the 2 and 77 car switched points to start the season, then they treat it like the 2 didn't run last year since this "Trade" was made. 16. tooj117 posted: 05.05.2008 - 8:10 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Kyle Busch is the biggest idiot ever. Dodge posted: 05.05.2008 - 10:45 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Believe me, Kyle Busch IS NOT A FAVORITE OF MINE. If people look at a replay of the laps before the wreck Jr. was running a higher groove and all of a sudden he chose to try to cut Kyle off and Kyle wasn't gonna back off. Kyle was RACING for the lead, other drivers may have backed off a tad but Kyle is a type of driver that looks at it as Checkers or Wreckers when he has a chance to win. As a result, Jr. is more to blame because he tried to chop the 18's right front fender off and got wrecked. 19. Anonymous posted: 05.05.2008 - 12:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Weird. Anonymous posted: 05.05.2008 - 7:19 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Jr did not cut Kyle off. Kyle was a full lane up the track when Jr turned down into the corner. The comparisons between Kyle and Dale Sr are weak. There's a fine line between aggressive and reckless driving. Earnhardt crossed that line now and then but Kyle crosses it nearly every week and treats it like the other guy was in his way. He drops down into the Nationwide and Truck series and wrecks the regulars and then says that he isn't running for points and those guys are like they should just move over for him. He is the definition of the word punk. 21. WillG_46 posted: 05.06.2008 - 10:56 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Jr. gave the 18 nearly 2 lanes to pass, hardly "cutting him off". Kyle was a full lane up the track when Jr turned down into the corner. You are biased. You are probably a Jr. fan who believes that he can do no wrong no matter what he does. He could get arrested for DUI and you would be saying that he was innocent even if he was found guilty. You gotta look at it from all of the replays of that incident. It shows that Kyle got loose going in when he tried to pinch his car down lower because Jr. CUT HIM OFF. Little E was running a higher line all race long and Kyle Busch was running low to middle groove all race and all of a sudden when Kyle see him go high, he goes middle and then Jr. wants the middle. 23. Anonymous posted: 05.06.2008 - 1:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) No, I just know something about racing etiquette, something Kyle needs to work on a bit. I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT KYLE NEEDING A BREATHILIZER TEST BECAUSE HE IS A RACER THAT WANTS TO WIN AND WILL AT ALL COSTS. I WOULD RATHER SEE SOMEONE TRYING TO PASS THE LEADER WHILE RACING INSTEAD OF GIVING UP. AS I PREVIOUSLY SAID, I AM NOT A FAN OF KYLE BUSCH, BUT HE DID CHANGE HOW I LOOK AT HIM. Jr. doesn't normally race like his dad. He races a lot like Bill Elliott and Ricky Rudd did. He is more of a finesse driver. People just think where his name is Earnhardt that he is labeled agressive. Earnhardt gave him plenty of room. Kyle knew he was beat and he knew that was the only chance he had at the win. He knew he couldn't beat Jr. where he was on the outside groove. He said quote,"If I was going to wreck him it would have been on the last lap." Typical BS from a Busch. It was in the last laps. Earnhardt did come down, he was going into the turn and the 18 was supposed to turn, but he didnt, he went straight and hit Earnhardt. Busch is a prick, and it will come back on him. I love the line Earnhardt gave when asked if he was going to have to confront the 18. He said, "I have to get in line first." Him and his dad have some of the best quotes of all time. 32.
