Other people stopped much faster, but their crews gave them cars which could stop faster. If it wasn't for his crappy crew, he could have won many more races. This is true. Just ask Denny. 2. Tough break for all of those guys in the lap 18 wreck. 6 of the 12 chaseres were knocked out. Great run for the Biff, just couldnt hang on late. Good runs also for Kenseth (roush in general) Gordon, Truex, Blaney, Kvapil, and Montoya. Hate to see Kyle Busch win over and over. Well see how good he is next week. Triple duty and three diff tracks. 3. Neal posted: 06.01.2008 - 8:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Another boring COT race. There were 3 green flag passes for the lead that didn't happen during green flag pit stop sequences. Because of the lack of action on the track and the constant Kyle Busch love fest from DW the race was almost unwatchable. 4. lowesdupont posted: 06.01.2008 - 9:25 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I don't like the COT (mainly b/c of the goofy wing) but seriously the car isn't that bad. This was a typical Dover race. Just look up the past lead changes (last 7 races...14, 18, 12, 23, 15, *9*, 13) about the same in my opinion. Cautions @5 for todays race (last 11 races..13, 7, 10, 9, 11, 7, 5, 11, 7, 9, 6). So it was just a typical long green flag event at Dover. And yeah i realize the drivers complain about the car...but the racing is about the same. 5. I was steaming :P Another boring race, let someone else win Busch. 6. samfan08 posted: 06.01.2008 - 10:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Back to back top 20s for Sam Hornish Jr. He may be turning the corner. 7. He's been comming to Dover for 22 years and still doesn't know you can't go three wide into turn 1!! NICE JOB MICKEY!!! How about Travis Kvapil in this race. without a sponser finishes 11th. Dave Blaney has another nice run, and props to Jeff Burton who came from 38th to finish 8th!! Nice Job!! Brian Vickers finished 13th but it should have been A LOT higher because he sped on pit road and David Ragan has another top 15, to help his changes at the chase! 8. Dodge posted: 06.02.2008 - 8:05 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Let's not forget, that with Burton being one lap down at the end, he now has completed 4,463 of 4,464 roughly. Considering that he has started outside of the top 30 many times to not be involved in any wrecks, its unbelievable. 9. Dodge posted: 06.02.2008 - 8:15 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Also, Kvapil has completed the second most laps completed at roughly 4,443. Someone needs to sign on with him. Since it sounds like the Office Depot will not be back on the 99, they should sign with the 28. Rumor has Office Depot sponsoring either the 00 or 44 if UPS goes. Office Depot would be making a huge mistake if they go to MWR considering Kvapil is doing a lot with a little sponsor help. While every other Toyota is doing something except MWR. BDR, RBR and Gibbs have all been competitive but for MWR 1 top ten combined. I like Mikey but I don't see MWR competitive until Mikey retires and can focus on all three teams and help since he has all of his sponsor commitments. 10. Anonymous posted: 06.02.2008 - 12:23 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Most people seemed to think this race was boring, but I enjoyed seeing a race actually play itself out naturally without any phony debris cautions with 10 to go. Crazy to see Mark Martin finish 6 laps down without having any problems. It's shameful that Mikey Waltrip has sponors but Travis Kvapil does not. I guess being a loud-mouth on TV is worth more to sponsors than driving skill. Another DNQ for the #45 car. Sad, but predictable. 12. nascarcrazy24 posted: 06.02.2008 - 3:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Most people seem to think this race was boring, and there was somewhat of a lack of for the lead action, but I actually enjoyed this race. Long green runs, no "DEBRIS LOL" cautions, just clean, legit racing. Maybe this race proves NASCAR doesn't throw cautions for the hell of it anymore. 13. Mr. Big posted: 06.02.2008 - 7:21 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Worst race of 2008, easily. The first 100 laps were OK, the next 100 laps bad, and the final half of the race just awful. There was no excitement at all past halfway. 14. Rad83 posted: 06.03.2008 - 5:28 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Jamie McMurray is constantly improving. His top-10 shows that Roush shouldkepp him. I'm a dedicated Vickers fan, and Brian had a top-10 car. I really hope he wins soon. 15. Vickers sped on Pit Road twice!! But they should have tried and appealed like Earnhardt did in the 600 and maybe gotten the penalty taken back.(In 15 years of watching NASCAR never Have I EVER seen that before!) Earnhardt's luck I guess!! 16. bduddy posted: 06.03.2008 - 5:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) They may not have had many cautions in this race, but they tried for a while, because the first crash was the only real one. Raines stopped on the track purposely (and was penalised two laps) and Nemecheck's crash was not deserving of a caution. As for the debris, well... 17. IDK what you want David to do there but Sadler was high then came all the way to the low lane and contact was made. I guess Sadler's spotter was sleeping on this one! 22. Me being a Tony Stewart fan and Jeff Gordon fan I was lucky to see that they were next to each other in the garage area. Me and my family sat a little bit behind the bridge that covers the backstretch so we couldn't get a good view of the big crash but it was still an amazing experience to watch the race. Hard to believe for me it's almost been ten years since that race. 29. Anonymous posted: 10.15.2019 - 6:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Driver Change: #7 Matt Crafton 30.
