I don't want to see a race gone from this track that was once very thrilling; they need to shorten one of the races by 100 miles at the least. 2. DaleSrFanForever posted: 06.09.2008 - 1:41 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Pit strategy kept the field jumbled for the most part. It was interesting watching the different approaches and "road course pitting" being able to take 4 tires and not lose a lap. But yeah, Kasey Kahne could methodically pick his way to the front, and once out front it was adios amigos. The 9 team is officially back. Great job of not panicking when they had the lugs off. Kyle Busch took himself out and ruined some pretty good momentum by trashing two cars in two days. He has to learn that you just can't cut hard right or left. He did the same thing at Nashville the night before, took out his teammate and damaged his own car. He treats these races like they are a video game, and it will cost him, as it already has. 3. Carl Edwards would have kicked everyone's behind, but that flat tire at the end KILLED HIM!! He started at like 28th on the last restart with like 15 to go, and finished 9th!! Shows you how good he was!! 4. I like Carl though. Huge Kasey Fan 5. WallaceFan posted: 06.09.2008 - 10:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I thought the race wasn't too bad...but yea it should only be 400 miles at most. Kasey Kahne straight jacked up the field. Great runs for RED BULL! IT GIVES YOU WINGS! Vickers in 2nd and Allmendinger in 12th. Great runs also for Jr, JJ, Kenseth, Kurt Busch, Mark, and BobLob. Way to go Kyle Busch. Way to go. 6. Anonymous posted: 06.10.2008 - 12:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) For all the complaints about the lack of passing, several drivers, including Edwards, Kenseth, and Allmendinger, drove from the back to the front in the last 20 laps. Kasey came back from 38th to win. No matter what the race is actually like, Nascar fans will find something to whine about. 34 cars on the lead lap in a 500 mile race has to be close to a record. JJ Yeley is pathetic. 7. Dodge posted: 06.10.2008 - 8:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yeah, J.J. Yeley is pathetic. What does HoF Racing see in him except that the new owners own a baseball team in Arizona so they want to have someone from Arizona in their car. Tony Raines had quite a few decent runs. I wonder if Yeley will still be driving the 96 in a couple of months. If Yeley gets released from the 96 car, I don't see him driving ANY more NASCAR races, he would either driver USAC or possibly run Indycars as he has started at least one race there. 8. WallaceFan posted: 06.11.2008 - 10:02 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) And HOF has Gibbs affiliation...(why Yeley is in it)..but you think with how good Gibbs is they would be good too...but no...its been a good car...its the DRIVER. Its YELEY. GET HIM OUT. Brad Coleman will be in that car for next year. Mark my words. 9. CanadianFan posted: 06.11.2008 - 10:21 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Hey Guys I Think James Hylton is going to be in the 08 this week a MIS he is in the 08 at the ARCA race and the cup ride has the driver TBA. How cool will that be if can make the field I hope he makes. And about Yeley I think he will be replaced by Brad Coleman I heard he is going to test with HOF racing soon. 10. Wily on Wheels posted: 06.11.2008 - 10:48 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yeley will probably go back to the Nationwide series where he finished 5th in points in 2006. 11. Clayton posted: 06.11.2008 - 11:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) CanadianFan, Where did you hear this and that would be AWESOME!! I hope they make it!! lol!! And Yeley stinks!! Look how good the 18 is doing without him! I mean I know Busch is really good but That is an extreme difference!! lol!! Yeley is horrible! 12. WallaceFan posted: 06.12.2008 - 2:48 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) James Hylton was never going to drive the cup race. The team originally entered with Tony Raines, and has also driven John Andretti (in Indy Car right now) and Jeff Green. There were never any plans for him to drive cup. I think canadian fan was just guessing, since he is driving the Arca race. 14. DaleSrFanForever posted: 06.12.2008 - 5:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I don't even think Yeley will be able to get a decent Nationwide ride. He just never has been able to adapt to stock cars. He couldn't win in the Busch Series either. Not only does he not get results, he crashes a lot. Its a lose, lose deal. He'll be back in sprint cars which, in all fairness, he was awesome at. 15. CanadianFan posted: 06.12.2008 - 6:15 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) You are right WallaceFan I was guessing. I just thought it would be something that made sense seeing he is in the 08 in ARCA it just seemed right then I saw they pulled out. Oh well maybe he will try to go to Daytona in July. 16. Neal posted: 06.13.2008 - 6:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Why do the Pocono races need to be shortened to 400 miles? Go look at the race times. They're usually only 30-40 minutes longer than a 500 lapper at Bristol. Do we need to shorten those, too? 17. Rad83- defender of the ricemobiles posted: 06.14.2008 - 3:09 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Gibbs treats HOF like Hendrick treats Haas CNC. Yeley is awful. Why did HOF fire Raines? He's not that bad. He is an underrated driver, who does what he can with bad equipment. And why did Haas fire Jeff Green? Why does Haas even exist? you are all welcome to tell me if you think Haas should no longer exist. I feel they don't deserve to. Oh, and BV finishing 2nd?! AJ getting 12th?! My ricemobiles are doing awesome. Sayonara, and praise the Japanese Femme Fatale. 18. WallaceFan posted: 06.14.2008 - 4:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Neal, the difference is that Bristol is exicitng and drivers and fans both enjoy it. 19. Dodge posted: 06.14.2008 - 5:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) WallaceFan: Until the 08 was withdrawn, the driver was TBA. I believe Raines was on the entry list for the 34 Chevy so it might have been Carl Long, who is the acting Crew Chief of the Eric McClure NNS or Burney Lamar, who is scheduled to drive the 37 Baker-Curb entry. 20. Neal posted: 06.16.2008 - 11:53 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) WallaceFan - I've discovered that in most instances, the tracks the drivers rave about are the ones that put on the worst shows. The drivers love Michigan, Cali, Vegas, Chicagoland, Homestead, and Texas. With the exception of TMS I'd rather watch grass grow. Pocono is a challenging track. It's nearly impossible to set a car up to be good all around the track because each corner is banked differently and has a different line and turning radius. So what if they were worn out? If I wanna watch a bunch of pretty boys race without breaking a sweat in cars that can drive themselves I'll watch Formula 1, not NASCAR. 21. Rad83 posted: 07.23.2008 - 1:55 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Formula 1 is boring. This race was not. Despite Kahne winning, Vickers comes home in second. A great day for a cool driver. 22. 18fan posted: 12.08.2008 - 1:15 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I hate Pocono. Besides California, it by far has the worst racing. Every race there are only three to five cars capable of winning. California and Pocono should have one race combined. Give races to North Wilkesboro if they can restore it enough to make it raceable, Rockingham because it has good racing, who cares about attendance since all the races have about 33% of their seats empty, and a Labor Day race to Darlington. My hatred for Pocono is not because Kyle sucks sh*t at it. 23. Matt_1986 posted: 02.10.2009 - 9:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 200th Win for Dodge 24. But running 1050 on 3 different racetracks in one weekend is impressive. I wonder if he spend more time in plane than on a racetrack... Probably yes. 29.
