Brad Keselowski touches him, and he has no right to do that. What an idiot. Doesn't he know he is messing with the amazing Kyle Busch? But when Kyle almost turns David Reuitmann side ways, and keeps banging on him over and over again, well that doesn't matter. I mean were talking about the great the amazing, the awesome, the terrific Kyle Busch. This is the problem with nascar. I wasn't watching when the Junior Johnsons, the Richard Petties or the when the Dale Earnhardts were around. And that sucks. Let me name you the 5 title contenders: Denny "I Have the maturity level of a 2 year old" Hamlin. Kyle "I'm the biggest douch in the world" Busch. I lol'ed and am now a even bigger Brad K fan after he had the balls to call Kyle exactly what he is...probably gonna get fined or even suspended. JJ struggling before the chase again? Where have we heard this before...bad feeling the "horeshoe up his a**" as Harvick says will be jammed so deep in once New Hampsire rolls around. Speaking of the chase...I feel Bowyer put the nail in the coffin tonight. Martin is out for sure and even though McMurray, Kahne, and Reutimann had a big day, Jamie only gained 5pts on Bowyer and Kahne and Newman lost points despite a 5th and 6th respectively. That's just a demoralizer. Unless a huge problem by Bowyer, he has it. I think the chase is gonna be exciting though for the first time in...well 4 years, lol. Reut finished a strong 2nd despite having food poisoning early in the weekend while Jamie continued his trend of getting top 5s in the sport's major event. Both have done much better this year than I ever thought they would. Reut is kicking Truex's butt despite having a "lesser" crew chief. He has really clicked with his team and he made the right decision by staying with them. Jamie now has one less top 5 than he did in the last 3 years combined and he has top 10s at basically every type of track this year. Wins at Daytona and Indy, 2nds at Darlington, Coke 600, Talladega, and a 3rd at the Bristol night race. It'll probably be said he will probably finish 30th next week as a result, but Atlanta and Richmond are two of JMac's best tracks and I think he has a much better shot to make the Chase right now than Martin, who, by the way, finished in between Travis Kvapil and Jeff Green. I'm so sick of this "history" crap. First of all, the Truck Series didn't even get founded until 1995. Yes, Kyle had a great weekend, but let's not slap NASCAR history and its legends in the face by calling it "history". The media articles today are pathetic. All I hear about is "greatness". That is the buzzword for Kyle Busch. Not bad for somebody who, in 5 Cup seasons in top of the line equipment, has ONE Top 5 points finish (a 5th in '07 while teammates JJ and Gordon ran off with it), and ONE other Top 10 points finish (a 10th in '08 after a dominating regular season). So he is a contemporary to JJ who has twice as many Top 1 points finishes as Kyle has Top 10 points finishes. Yet they have the gall to talk about "greatness". That is the thing about Kyle that nobody wants to mention. He SUCKS in the cha$e. I don't like the cha$e, but it does present us with an opportunity to see drivers in a true pressure cooker. And Kyle always gets cooked. In his 5 seasons, he has ONE victory in the final 10 races, in '05 when he wasn't even in the cha$e. 12 drivers, since 2004, have won at least 2 cha$e races, with JJ nearly equaling Kyle's career total in cha$e victories. He can't get it done in races that matters. In '06 he sunk to the bottom of the cha$e crapper. He had a respectable '07 cha$e, but no wins while his teammates Gordon and Johnson combined to win 6 of those 10 races and runn off with the points. In '08 he had the most momentum of anybody in cha$e history entering Loudon and allowed himself to tank after some mechanical failures, and never even contended for a cha$e win. Then in '09 he missed the damn cha$e being an idiot. Only Tony Stewart had a more indefensible cha$e miss in '06, and that could be debated. Want more evidence he sucks under pressure? Look at the 2004 Busch points battle. Kyle, in his first full time Busch season, found himself battling another guy running the full time Busch schedule for the first time, Martin Truex (they were both driving for top notch Cup teams). Kyle took over the previous year's championship team, and had been groomed for NASCAR since he was 16 by Roush Racing and HMS in Trucks, ASA, and ARCA. Martin was in top notch equipment for the first time. What happened? Martin blew him away and clinched the title with one race still left. He tried running the full schedule again in '06, but Harvick clinched that title with FOUR races still left, with Kyle 1,268 points back (he was behind JJ YELEY in points, and only a few points ahead of Paul Menard). He ended up skipping Memphis cause it was pointless. So I don't want to hear about "greatness". "Great" drivers win the races that truly matter, and until Kyle proves he can do that, he's just an MMM-era Ernie Irvan, if Ernie had a really bad attitude and ran top equipment in all 3 Series (The Trucks didn't exist yet, and MMM was not an elite organization). 48. The media always forces the "greatness" moniker on young talent, well before they've become a true legend or accomplished much. It's more about the possibilities in Kyle Busch's future, because of the potential he has showed. Busch gets all this attention because he has earned us keeping an eye on his career, and now that we're watching, it's time for him to live up to his potential and set the racing world on fire. And if he doesn't, no one will be harsher to him about his career than the media. Kyle Busch is like LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Peyton Manning, and others who have been hyped as something special before they accomplished much of anything. And sometimes we see them live up to that potential (Manning, Woods), and sometimes we don't. If a hyped athlete like them never wins "the big one", it follows them their entire life, because we knew what they should have been able to accomplish, and if they don't it's basically like they failed. So yeah Busch has a lot of hype, maybe he's even already great, but no one has more pressure to win a championship and legitimize his career now than Busch. We could be looking at a 3 or 4 time champion in the making, or we could be looking at an overrated driver who wins 40 races but never gets it done when it counts. 53. The two things can be mutually exclusive. Kyle Busch is not yet a great points racer, although I wouldn't exactly go throwing around Chase points finishes to try and prove a point that Busch isn't even a top-10 points driver. Because as far as total points accumulated throughout a season, he'd have 3 straight top 10 points finishes, with a high of 3rd in 08. Just because the guy had mechanical failures early in the 08 chase, and could never catch back up to the top, doesn't mean that he didn't win 8 races that year and narrowly scored fewer points than Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards across all 36 races. I'm surprised that someone with the name DaleSrFanForever would put so much emphasis on chase performance as measure of a driver, seeing as it seems to produce a legitimate champion only about half the time. What Jimmie Johnson has done is impressive, but let's not act like he would have won 4 in a row without a Chase. 2007 alone invalidates that argument, nobody was catching Gordon that year. 55. Not really a big deal for ESPN, but they get paid to talk about it. If it never happens again, it will only be because no one is attempting it. Glad to see Reut and Jamie Mac grab top-5's, and Jamie is now within 100 points of the Chase, although I don't see him making the cut unless Bowyer has a bad next two races and McMurray gets top-5's. Otherwise, he'll just have to live with winning two of the biggest paying races in NASCAR. LOL Just when I thought we were rid of Kevin Conway, Robby Gordon hires him to drive the #7. Now if you've lowered your expectations so low to where you're happy with a 19th place finish, then that's a different story altogether. "I don't like the cha$e, but it does present us with an opportunity to see drivers in a true pressure cooker" The chase is an idiotic system. Thanks to it, a mediocre guy like Bowyer gets to have top 5 point finishes in two straight years, Mayfield and Vickers sneak in at the last second and are guaranteed to finish no worse than 10th or 12th, while Dale Jr and Shrub get robbed out of good points finishes in 2008. Sadler - unreliable equipment Mark Martin - too conservative in Trucks, outside of 2006 Biffle - streaky Cup performances cost him an opportunity to win the triple Edwards - ditto Stewart - Smoke could do it if he had quality Truck and Nationwide equipment Therefore, if Happy is Shrub's only major threat, this accomplishment is not entirely as significant as ESPN/ABC wants us to believe. 58. It shouldn't carry the "history" tag. And it shouldn't even be considered significant for the reasons listed above. Thanks Eric for those names. It's not something has been attempted many times. Is it worth mentioning and applauding? Yes. Does it make him great? No. Is this even in the same stratosphere as "Gordon wins 4 consecutive Southern 500s" or "Gordon wins 6 consecutive road course races" or "Johnson wins 3 consecutive World 600s" or even "Johnson wins 5 of 6 Martinsville races"? Absolutely not. "What Jimmie Johnson has done is impressive, but let's not act like he would have won 4 in a row without a Chase." He wouldn't have 4 in a row, but he would have 4. Yes, '07 was Gordon's year, but in 2004 the #48 team had a 230+ point lead mid summer then blew 3 straight motors. They were experimenting because they knew it would get reset after Richmond. That never would have happened under the old system. Ditto for 2008. They had a lot of bad summer finishes while testing stuff. "DaleSrFanForever seems to confuse a great driver with a great points racer." Seeing as how JJ is currently the best at both, it is easily confused. And its funny that YOU talk about wins. As I mentioned ealier, JJ's cha$e victory total nearly equals Kyle's CAREER total. And Kyle is now in his sixt season. JJ was in his sixt season in 2007. Kyle has a career best of 8 wins ('08). JJ, likewise at this point in '07, had a career best of 8 wins. Kyle's second best win total is 4('09). JJ's second best total was 5('06) in '07. JJ's lowest win total at this point in '07 (and presently) was 3 in '02 and '03. Kyle's lowest is ONE in '06 and '07 (he tied his teammates, Brian Vickers and Casey Mears respectively, for wins in those years). Most importantly JJ was on his way to a TEN win season in '07. Think Kyle can win 7 of the last 12 races? Hell, look at this season: This is the worst season the #48 team has EVER had. Everything has gone wrong. They have been wrecked, wrecked themselves, made pit road errors, and have been unable to adjust the car during a race. Meanwhile, this has supposedly been Kyle's breakout season. Reportedly we are seeing the "New Kyle", a more mature Kyle, the best Kyle ever. Yet JJ has 5 wins and Kyle has 3. Look, Kyle has had a good career to this point. I'm not saying he sucks (except in the cha$e, where I am definitely saying he sucks). But he has been way overblown, for some of the reasons dirtfan mentioned. To say he is "great" is silly, especially considering he is a contemporary of JJ. Yes, JJ is dreadfully boring and talking about him constantly gets old FAST, but this is his era, and as bad as he has beat his competition down, he is the one currently deserving of the "great" label (along with Gordon and Stewart). Considering how sick his career looks compared to JJ's, he should not be hyped this much. It's like Kit always says, when did the bar for greatness get lowered so far? 62. Kyle reminds me of an early Jeff Gordon in terms of fading at the end of the season, as Jeff blew huge points leads in 1995, 1996, and 1997, but in '95 and '97 he was able to hold on. However, Kyle's two embarrassing Chase performances can only be rivaled by Brian Vickers last year and Mayfield in '04 and '05. Jimmie already has 4 DNFs this year. The most in his career is 7 in 2004, and the most in a championship year for JJ is 4 in 2007. Jimmie's pole gives him one pole in each of his full time seasons. After the fireworks of Kyle and Brad's intros, AJ Allmendinger said, "I just hope I'm ahead of Kyle and Brad when this all goes down tonight." I find it laughable that anyone even takes the system seriously." I've thought the Chase was a joke from the first day NASCAR announced they were going to implement it. It doesn't even reward the championship to whoever had the best season overall. All you have to do nowadays is stay in the top-12, and be the best of that bunch in a 10-race stretch. Obviously that's not easy to do, but winning a championship under the old points system was a lot harder. "Jeff blew huge points leads in 1995, 1996, and 1997, but in '95 and '97 he was able to hold on." Actually, what cost Jeff the 1996 championship was an engine problem at Charlotte. Kyle did something not a lot of drivers has tried to do yet and that is even rarer than a driver win a race in the trucks, Nationwide, and cup series some point that person's career. The only thing I could of that would be more obscure is if driver a wins Modified racing series race, truck series race, Nationwide series race and cup series race during the same race weekend. If there is a lot more drivers trying this down the road, Kyle Busch's accomplishment will mean a lot several down the road. I don't think it very likely that a lot of drivers will attempt 3 Major Nascar series races in a race weekend any time soon. It is caused by the amount of focus it takes, the amount of races the trucks series companion races with Nationwide and cup series at the same track. Here is my ranking on driver's accomplishments in a row for winning based on importance: 1.) Amount of championships won in a row 2.) tied - Amount of wins in a row,Amount of wins in a row at a racing event amount of races won in row at a race track, and races in a row for type of a track. 3.) All poles in a row records 4.) Winning 3 races in 3 different major Nascar series in a race weekend. 69. Mark's 3 in a row from the pole at the Glen was amazing. In my opinion, the #1 Dale Sr streak, the one that will NEVER even be APPROACHED is his 10 consecutive Daytona 125 qualifier streak. He swept the entire 90's!! Also, he won six 500 mile (although one was rain shortened) Darlington races in 5 years ('86-'90) including a stretch of 3 out of 4 Southern 500s. He also had a 10 year stretch ('86 to '95) where he won 6 championships, had 2 runner ups, and a 3rd (but it did include a horrid '92). Then he followed that up with a 4th in '96 and a 5th in '97, although '97 wasn't a good year for him, he just avoided trouble and collected points while Gordon and DJ put a hurtin' on the win column. So 11 out of 12 years he finished in the Top 5 in points. He also won 5 of 9 Talladega races in a stretch from '90 to May '94. Others: Rusty winning 6 of the 8 short track races in '93. Darrell's 7 in a row at Bristol (that will also never be approached), Darrell's 4 in a row at Nasville, Darrell's 5 in a row and 6 of 7 at North Wilkesboro, Cale winning 7 of 10 at Bristol, Pearson's 11 consecutive Charlotte poles (I don't put a lot into poles, but HOLY SHIT!!!!!), Pearson's 7 out of 9 at Michigan, Pearson's stretch in '73 where he won 9 of 10 races he entered, Petty's 9 of 11 at Martinsville, Petty's 7 in a row at the old Richmond Fairgrounds, and of course, Petty's 10 consecutive victories in '67 as well as entering almost 50 races and winning more than he lost. I don't care what the competition level was in those days, that is damn impressive. 70. joey2448 posted: 08.22.2010 - 8:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) i don't see why some say elliott sadler is the worst driver of 2010...he won the truck race at pocono, and finished third after winning the pole in the nationwide event at bristol. 71. Mark also won the next to last race of the season @ Phoenix. Pretty impressive considering the variations of those 4 different tracks and also PIR being considered a flat track. Also, the fact that Watkins Glen was his first win of that season seemed to propel the 6 teams momentum, and as was already mentioned, he would win the Glen from the pole also for the next two seasons. 72. petty43 posted: 08.23.2010 - 2:09 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) some random points i want to make. 1. i do not consider kyles threepeat a big deal, he does, and that is HIS problem, his focus is so screwed up, beating the 48 three weeks in a row would impress me WAY more, but honestly he thinks this is better, which is stupid. i would rate leeroy's big win season on the superspeddways or gant's four peat or even just ernie irvan returning to racing all ahaed of how this made me feel. i did predict after all yesterday on the nationwide page. 2 anybody who thinks nascar really throws bullshit cautions does not have much of an argument right now, because about 166000 people at that race wanted one in the last 75 laps and did not get one. lately there have been very few bullshit cautions and nascar has done a fine job of calling races lately, compared to the past few years. 3 brad can say whatever the hell he pleases, but really only actions speak to me and lately he is sucking badly in cup. i dont want to hear about nationwide success, that series is a shitstorm of bad. 4 i apsolutley cannot stand the way JPM has no clue what the hell is going on around him on the track, you just know everytime guys are around they are thinking " okay juan ppablo please dont do something stupid right now". he is just awful and really right now he should be cleaning house because at the moment i would rate ganassi stuff ahead of just about anybody else. 5 jamie mac only shows up for the big races. 6 kevin conway may be the worst driver i have ever seen, wow was that sad to see, why the hell did robby do that. 7 racing at bristol still has a ways to go but this was an improvement over last years races. 73. But it's Kyle Busch's 3rd win in the last 4 races at Bristol, and 4th for his career; only his brother Kurt and Jeff Gordon have more Bristol wins with 5 each. He's now 3rd among active drivers in laps led at Bristol with 1217 but his average of 101 laps led per start is easily more than Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon ahead of him. His average finish of 9.3 at Bristol is 3rd all time among drivers with at least 10 starts, although Benny Parsons' 8.6 in 27 starts and Earnhardt's 9.3 in 43 starts are pretty remarkable (Kyle has 12 Bristol starts). It's his 10th top five in 123 career Cup starts, and first top ten at Bristol in 6 starts. Jamie McMurray gets his 7th top five of the season, 6th most this season. But he's tied for 14th with just 9 top tens which is the reason why he's still outside the Chase. It's just his 2nd top five in 16 starts at Bristol, first since finishing 3rd in this race in 2003. Clint Bowyer gets his 4th top five of the season which equals his total from all of 2009, but they're all 4th place finishes; it's his third 4th place finish in the last 6 races. He gets his 5th top ten in 10 Bristol starts. Kasey Kahne gets his first top ten in the last 5 races, and 3rd top five in 14 Bristol starts (but all in the last 7). Ryan Newman finishes in the top 10 for the first time in the last 7 races. It's his 10th top ten in 18 Bristol starts, but his only top five was a runner-up in 2004. JPM gets his 3rd straight top ten, tying his longest streak of the season; his career best is 4 in a row which was his 4 top fives to start the Chase last season. It's just his 2nd top ten in 8 Bristol starts. Greg Biffle gets his 4th top ten in the last 5 races. It's his 3rd straight top ten at Bristol, and 10th overall in 16 starts. Kurt Busch becomes the 41st driver in Cup Series history to reach the 150 top ten milestone. It's his 12th top ten in 20 Bristol starts, but the first time he's finished top 10 in both Bristol races in a season since 2004. Matt Kenseth gets his 10th top ten of the year, the 9th straight year he's had at least 10 top tens in a season and 10th time in 11 full seasons in Cup. It's the first time he's had back-to-back top tens since May. It's his 3rd straight top ten at Bristol, and 14th in 22 starts there. Jeff Gordon goes back-to-back races without a top ten for the first time since April. Carl Edwards' 6 race top ten streak comes to an end. Dale Jr. gets his best finish in the last 6 races, but his average finish is 22.5 over that stretch and he's gone from 11th in the standings, 46 points ahead of 13th, to 18th in the standings and 170 points behind 12th. Kevin Harvick gets his 21st top 15 finish of the season. Reed Sorenson gets just his 2nd top 15 finish in 7 starts in the #83 this season. His average finish is 23.9 with Red Bull Racing. Brad Keselowski gets his 13th top 20 finish in the first 24 races of this season. David Stremme had 11 top 20 finishes in 33 starts in 2009. Marcos Ambrose gets his 3rd straight top 20 finish. Jimmie Johnson won his 24th career pole, making it 9 straight seasons with at least one pole. Jimmie led 175 laps and leads the series with 1068 laps led in 2010; it's the 4th straight season he's led at least 1000 laps, the 5th time in 9 seasons. The same can be said for Gordon and Johnson, so we have drivers to compare him to. Kyle is 2/3 of the way through his 6th season. Gordon and Johnson were at this point in their careers in '98 and '07 respectively. At this point, they each already had at least one Cup championship (Gordon had 2), and were on their way to career highs in wins and another Cup championship. Each had already won a Daytona 500, at least one Brickyard 400 (Gordon had 2), each had already won 3 World 600s. Kyle has done none of the above. Kyle has 19 victories, which is impressive. But at this same point, Gordon had 37 wins (holy shit!!!) and Johnson had 27 (and was about to begin a run of 6 wins over the last 12 races). So let's not get carried away here. Not collecting a ton of trophies in the lower end series with some Cup wins sprinkled in" "What does this say about Mark Martin then?" Mark Martin's 5 IROC Championships reek of greatness; same cars, same specs, world class drivers. If Mark's luck had gone a different way he could have had multiple Cup championships. I don't really need to harp on it, but if not for the penalty in 1990, he had the Cup locked up. It was a non-performance enhancing violation. 40 Cup wins including a World 600, 2 Southern 500s, and 2 Talladega 500s, so it's hard to say he never showed up for the big races or won anything without significance. He was balls to the wall in the 2007 Daytona 500, it just didn't work out for him. Had he wrecked Harvick or dumped him to win, I think it would have tarnished the victory. Same with the Brickyard on 3 different occasions. It easy to say what if... but while he has been eluded by the two biggest trophies in NASCAR, I think it's pretty self explanatory. What he has done in the sport makes him a great driver, even if he's won more Nationwide races than anyone, which will soon be broken by Kyle Busch, and possibly Kevin Harvick, also 7 wins in 23 truck races isn't bad either. He also had 22 ASA wins and won four championships, racing against Rusty Wallace, Alan Kulwicki, Kenny Schrader, Dick Trickle and others. He has one ARCA win in one start at Talladega in 1981. It would be hard for me to give any credibility to anyone who thought Mark Martin wasn't a great driver because he has never won a Cup championship, even though he's won more Nationwide races than anyone, and a good bit of truck races. He's been great in everything he has raced. 97. And honestly, I'm 25, and I can tell you that if I was in his position, I too would probably end up making an ass of myself or losing focus from time to time. Maybe not as much as he does, but still. Age matters. Ten years from now he'll be a much more reserved, calculating driver than he is now. So for now, let's all just sit back and enjoy his "I'm-an-asswipe-and-proud-of-it show".......because let's face facts: For better or for worse, Kyle's THE most controversial figure in NASCAR and he generates attention for the sport. First of all, his Cup prime with Roush, '89-'99, coincided with two of the greatest NASCAR dynasties ever, the Earnhardt/Childress team and the Gordon/Evernham team. And it his most recent really great season, last year, he had to go against the Johnson/Knaus juggernaut. In each case, he was still able to go toe to toe with them, falling just short. Kyle has never even mounted a championship charge. He shows up every so often, wins a bulk of Cup races, then disappears. Then there is the Roush factor. If he could have had his prime years from '99-'09, we'd be looking at two maybe three titles. Remember, The 2003 Winston Cup championship was won by the Kenseth/Reiser combo that Martin brought to Roush and Cup. And after the 2001 season, Roush shafted him by giving Fenning to Kurt Busch. Kurt won the '04 Cup with Fenning. 108. Plus, when Jeff turned 25, he was in his 4th Cup season, while Kyle is in his 6th. And if you're looking for degree of difficulty, Kyle has been groomed for stock car success since he was a kid. Jeff was groomed for Indy Car success when he was growing up, and had to make an abrupt change late in 1990, a little more than 5 years before he captured his first Cup. The same can be said for JJ. He was supposed to be a desert racer. Although he didn't have nearly the funds of Kyle and Gordon, leading to a later start in lesser stock car equipment. As a side note: That is what kills me about JJ. He has an interesting story and, off camera, an interesting personality. Most of what made the 1998 Daytona 500 a great race was the story of Earnhardt finally capturing the one prize that had always eluded him. Actually, a careful look at his career shows he has overachieved. 2007 looks like pure shit on paper, but when you consider what he was able to do with the pile of shit that was MWR (before Robert Kauffman basically took it over), it is pretty damn impressive. Compare his numbers that year to DJ's. And he has steadily improved ever since. If Kryle Busch had to drive those cars, he'd shit all over himself, go insane, and probably hang himself. 140. If we didn't there would be no reason to listen to post race interviews. Most of what made the 1998 Daytona 500 a great race was the story of Earnhardt finally capturing the one prize that had always eluded him. The race itself was actually one of the tamest 500's in history but the story of Earnhardt is what made it so dramatic." That was an unscripted, real life event. You talk of Kryle like he's some sort of legendary heel character from the WWF. Let's be more realistic and see him for what he is. 141. It was a non-performance enhancing violation." I don't know how many times I have to harp. Everyone acts like the race he had his penalty was close to the last race of the season. It was the 2nd race of the season at Richmond. Sorry people, there was all kinds of racing left after that race. I'm sure Earnhardt could have won the last race at Atlanta if he really had to push the issue. He could have made up a few spots here or there during the season. Daytona tire trouble in the 500 cost him 20 points as well. If anything, Martin made a big mistake at Phoenix for pitting late and he didn't make up any positions. That's where the title was lost. 144. Point blank, as it stands, I believe those 46 points cost Mark Martin the 1990 Winston Cup championship. 145. The CWTS has only been around for 15 years, and those drivers haven't really raced in Cup or Nationwide, and the tracks are rarely at the same place, especially in Cup, meaning that Bristol is the only place (maybe a couple more) that the trifecta has happened. Harvick or Newman or maybe even Sadler (if he gets a better N'wide or Cup ride) will follow his footsteps in the trifecta, but, as the history books say, Busch is the *only* (pending) trifecta winner in NASCAR, although it will happen again. 147. The other competitors in those series simply aren't on the same level as Kyle Busch when it comes to cash and equipment. I'm sure if given the chance and the equipment, at least Harvick and Edwards and probably Hamlin, Stewart, and Newman could pull off the trifecta too. 148. Maybe next time he'll drive it differently and he can race up there with me." Kyle Busch would make history once more by winning all three NASCAR national series (Cup, Nationwide and Truck) races in the same weekend at the same track. He would accomplish this feat again in 2017 for the second time at the same Bristol night events. 158.
