That bodes for a less than suspenseful race on Sunday Monday unless there's a good old-fashioned Bristol demolition derby that takes out the front runners. 5. I have a meeting at 10:00 in the morning and I work 4-9 pm. So if it has to be a Monday race, late morning (11:30, for example), early afternoon or a night race would be best for me. I mean, I'd see over half of a night race. 8. Anthony posted: 04.22.2017 - 1:59 am Rate this comment: (2) (1) Danica was 38th in practice, still learning. 9. Time after time shows that they are more respected after they retire or not as dominant. 120. Incognito posted: 04.24.2017 - 6:13 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) TeamDCR: Are you a member of the team? Why should I get mad after he wins, just so my blood pressure goes up and other stuff. I learned that as a kid. If you don't like what you're watching why are you still doing it? Not trying to tell you to gtfo, but it's not a good time always being mad. Stop watching Xfinity, go do something you enjoy on Saturday, like being with family and friends, it will help you a lot trust me. NASCAR doesn't need to be the end all be all. I love this sport to death, but I also follow all sorts of things to make me happy, this isn't a marriage. Chad has been caught, but so have NUMEROUS other people in NASCAR. It's all about that fine line, he just crosses it more then others. Cole Pearn lately has been the new chad, because the 78 rarely passes tech, Is NASCAR's stands not full? Yes! But that is not all on Johnson, there's so many other things not helping NASCAR, but blaming it all on Jimmie is just a bandage on a huge gash. *It was Monday, some people can't go*. I'm not the one downvoting you, as much as we have different opinions, you have a right to yours, so why should I downvote you? Unless you said something really offensive or some sorts. 122. Solid runs for both Roush cars again. 127. 484evs posted: 04.24.2017 - 8:03 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Christ the level of disdain for Jimmie on this site lmao I thought it was a fantastic ending :D 128. Cole Pearn lately has been the new chad, because the 78 rarely passes tech," And yet so many people get excited when the #78 is running well. But this hypocrisy has been common over the past several years. There hasn't been a significant rules violation by the #48 team in about 5 years, yet Johnson's won two championship a bunch of races during that time. In that same time frame, both Penske cars got busted running with tricked-up rear end housing (not the only time Penske's cheated either), Matt Kenseth won a race with an engine that was too light, Ryan Newman raced with bleeding tires, and Denny Hamlin's team manipulated firewall covers to create extra downforce. Seemingly no one cared about any of these incidents. Some of the people who call Johnson and Knaus cheaters are FANS of these teams which have "cheated" more recently (and more severely) than the #48. They're obviously no dirtier than any of the other teams (if anything they're probably cleaner due to all the scrutiny they have faced because of the incidents that occurred years ago), they're just better. Deal with it. If you can't, you should probably find something else to watch. 129. Canadianfan posted: 04.24.2017 - 8:23 pm Rate this comment: (9) (1) Excessive success breeds hatred. None of us knew it yet of course. While, on the other end of the track, you and your father celebrated your monumental win, it was assumed that would be a picture that would be played out over and over and over again. You helping the sport continue its explosive growth as your legendary father wound his career down. Just as he helped the sport continue its explosive growth after Richard Petty hung it up. It wasn't supposed to go this way. That wasn't supposed to be the last time you and him got to share that moment. The sport wasn't supposed to nose dive. I wasn't supposed to be torn down 14 years later due to the fact they couldn't even fill me up a quarter of the way. Your career shouldn't have been filled with so much of a sense of unrealized potential. And you, the most popular driver by a landslide, weren't supposed to announce your retirement to so little fanfare. Like it says in the song "For a moment, all the world was right". One tragedy and whole lot of bad decisions later, the 2018 All Stars race will take place with career in the same place as me: gone with barely a whimper. 138. Started in 1984 and went through 2014. Afterwards, he covered college football and basketball, among other things. Maybe he'll get picked up by someone shortly. 139.
