Lajoie isn't great, but he's got more experience. Ross in the 15 is a surprise too. And who will be in the 43? 7. They should've just left LaJoie in the car to knock the wall down. 12. Tyson posted: 05.30.2017 - 2:49 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Let's not also forget that along with the 55, LaJoie is consistently the most complained about driver every week. Not because his car is slow, but because he doesn't know how to get out of the way. The 51 is probably the slowest car out there, but drivers don't complain because Timmy Hill stays out of the way. 13. JSPorts posted: 05.30.2017 - 2:50 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Since when does Corey LaJoie have more experience than Ryan Sieg? Sieg is 4 years older, and has 139 more starts in a stock car than LaJoie does. I guess you could make the argument that Sieg has never started a Cup race while LaJoie has started 14 races (still not that many), but if you make that argument for why a guy shouldn't get his first start, then no driver would ever replace another. 14. rwr posted: 05.30.2017 - 3:39 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "The worst car on track is probably either the 51 or 55. JSPorts posted: 05.30.2017 - 4:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yeah, Jeffrey has had an awful year but a lot of that isn't his fault. The team has only finished 5 races; his average finish in those 5 is 32nd, not great by any means, but not the worst. However, the 33 car has already had a transmission failure, 2 blown engines and a rear end problem that put them out of 4 races. Then they got caught up in the crash at Daytona. Jeffrey also crashed at Martinsville & Texas. The 33 is on pace to finish only 15 races this year without starting and parking, and on pace to have 12 mechanical DNFs. 21. 23andJoe posted: 05.30.2017 - 5:02 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Entry lists? Currently the winners are Larson-1 win Truex-2 wins Johnson-2 wins Keselowski-2 wins Stenhouse-1 win Kurt Busch- 1 win Newman-1 win Dillon- 1 win We still have alot of drivers that are capable of winning this season including. Chase Elliott Denny Hamlin Matt Kenseth Kyle Busch Joey Logano (his win at richmond didn't count) Jamie Mcmurray Kevin Harvick Clint Bowyer Ryan Blaney We could have the potential of 17 different winners by chase time. But most likely we'll end up around a total of 13-15. 42. Impressive third-place start for that kid, whose previous best Cup start was seventh at Talladega, and among non-restrictor plate races, a 10th at Fontana. Also, another great start for Erik Jones in the second Furniture Row car, qualifying seventh a week after starting fifth and finishing seventh in the Coke 600. Jones is probably my pick for most surprising driver in 2017. And the debut winner of last week's 600, Austin Dillon, starts ninth this week. 55. chevyfan98 posted: 06.02.2017 - 10:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Cody Ware 20th? Thoughts? 225. gary24fan posted: 06.05.2017 - 10:44 am Rate this comment: (0) (2) @224 I told a friend last evening that if JG had the luck that JJ has had, he'd have 125 wins and more than seven titles right now. Jimmie doesn't have a luck bank, he has a luck Fort Knox! 226. Except the fact he won six times in 2007. 227. Anthony posted: 06.05.2017 - 11:29 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @225 Jeff Gordon won the most races five years in a row from '95-'99. Even through 1996-98 Gordon won 10, 10, & 13 respectively. Could it be that when Jeff Gordon was winning only once from 2008-2010 made Johnson closed the gap so quickly? 228. Mannoroth posted: 06.05.2017 - 12:21 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 227. After 2007, Gordon had 81 wins and Johnson just 33 wins. That's a 48 wins difference and JJ was able to remove that gap in just 10 years. However, Gordon was able to get 12 more wins in 2008-2015 and the gap is now 10 wins. Never thought I would see that, when I began with NASCAR in February 2008... 229. While Johnson has never had the type of single-season success Gordon had (Jimmie has had one 10-win season, while Gordon had three 10+ win seasons), Johnson has had better sustained success, winning 4+ races in 12 of his 16 years at the Cup level. Gordon's winning rate trailed off near the end of his career, while Johnson is still going strong. 231. And without the Chase, Gordon's last title probably would've been at age 43. But Gordon did win his first title in his 3rd season and his last in his 9th season. He ran 14 more years after his final championship. Johnson won his 1st title in his 5th season, and his most recent in his 15th season. He is currently in the 1st season after his most recent championship. 237. He might survived Kansas, but those 2 DNF at Martinsville and Texas would still put him in a must-win situation... 241. So far we do not know if he should return to winning again, but the possibility is small. 242.
