(Case 41 cars in a 38 field) NASCAR can changed a Rule to 40 cars in full field only in Plate/New tracks or for chase races only. What a next non-plate race this year with 39-40 cars this year (With Kennington,Long,And a extra car)? What a race #30 and #35 will be? I'm predicted Dover or Richmond for 39. 2016 - 39-40 2017 - 38-40 2018 - 36-38? (40 to plate only, 39 for chase races) 2019 - 34-37 drivers? 5. The first round had already been completed but with the danger of lightning in the area, the track eventually scrapped the rest. Busch takes his third career pole at Texas and second in a row after starting first here last November. It's his 23rd pole of his career. I tell ya what, the Fords look mighty strong this weekend, particularly the Stewart-Haas racing cars, after sweeping the top three spots in first practice and qualifying. But of course they've been fast all year so far, so nothing really new. 10.
