Plus, this is Bristol - anything can happen. And Kyle already has 6 top 10 finishes in a row, so his streak has to end someday. The longer streak, the bigger probability something will happen to end that streak (his record is 8 top 10s in a row from 2010). 31. Things certainly set up well for him in that regard. I think he'll lead at least half the race and win in dominant fashion. I can guarantee the race won't be run today, because it's raining there now and there is about a 70% chance or higher almost all day. Wouldn't surprise me if they call it within the next hour (much like they did with Martinsville) so that fans don't come to the track. 41. People disliking Kyle Busch and not wanting him to win in Cup has nothing to do with Buschwhacking. I don't know why you continue to bring up Xfinity and obsess about stats there. Some people just don't like Kyle Busch, whether it's because he races in Xfinity, or because of his personality or driving style. Nobody has to like a driver just because you say they should. 240. It may not be the most typical reason, but some people can be tired of Kyle Busch winning in every series. And to complain and cry after winning a Cup race (which he should win as a Cup driver that chose this series for 2018) is just stupid... A lot of people just can't separate the Truck & Xfinity Kyle from the Cup Kyle. But that's pretty normal... Buck Baker, get ready. You're next! 241. He employs a lot of people doing that, and helps younger drivers in the sport. Huge ego? I think you need that at this level. If you want a driver who is happy to finish second - Kyle Busch is not your guy. You can't deny that he is a helluva race car driver. A future Hall of Famer. Yep, especially in the final laps in the battle for the win. All his incidents has one common thing - Kyle wasn't the one who started the incident. That second driver always started it and Kyle just retaliated. 252. In Hornaday's case, it was Johnny Chapman, who started that incident and moved Hornaday into Kyle, so Kyle didn't just wrecked Hornaday for no reason... And in Keselowski's case, I'm sure you mean that Kansas Xfinity race in 2013. Yes, he wrecked him, but it was just a retaliation for what happened at Mid-Ohio. Remember? Owen Kelly was running great, Hornish (Penske's driver) was behind him and wrecked him off cameras, so the #22 could win that race and get closer to the #54, which was leading the Owner's championship standings. Not every incident is connected to only one race... 254. Chap904 posted: 04.19.2018 - 12:02 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) @250 that is a stupid post for 2 reasons. 1. Yeah, 1967 is even before my time (and I remember Pearson beating Petty at Daytona, which most folk here don't). @258 - um, not really. In 1968 NASCAR was heading into a slow period, having expanded too fast in the preceeding few years (sounds like today, no?), so crowds were declining. Dover was built in 1968 and was the last new track built for NASCAR for quite a long time, and they actually considered tearing up the track and just being a horse track in the early 70's. (to be clear, Michigan, Ontario, and Pocono were built right after Dover, but all three were built for USAC Indycars, which was the dominant series at the time). 262. Ive decided to get tickets in the Lincoln section 3 rows up and only $65 a piece, so by the time I pay for a ticket for me and the lady friend, half the gas, and food and stuff i should be right around $250 for the whole trip, probably $300 if we decide to stay at a hotel somewhere. not bad considering all the complaining about prices people do. And by the way - I didn't see he wouldn't care, because he helped JGR to win their first Owner title in 2008 for #20 (along with Hamlin, Logano and Stewart), won that title all by himself in 2009 (because he ran all races for the title) and it was mainly him who won it in 2010.
