This race was horrible though. Still hope someone buys NASCAR, and completely changes everything from stages to these cars. Just ab absolute bore of a race. Chevys took a step back today. Chase as the best Chevy in 9th. Unreal. 142. Greg posted: 06.10.2018 - 7:24 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Yeah, this was a SHR Top 3 walk in the park anyway. I say he would have pushed the issue and tried to get in front of just about anyone else besides him. Nice call by Paul Menard and his team to get a top-5 finish. He now has 20 career top-5 finishes and five of them have been at Michigan. I really wish they would do away with the stages. Just think how many more laps they could have ran today without the stage cautions. 145. It was cool to see him near the front today and even leading a couple laps. I agree about the stages. When there is inclement weather threatening, they should call off the stage cautions and just award the points. Really, that should just be the norm since those cautions disrupt the race's flow, but at least we don't get questionable cautions at inopportune times anymore. 149. Especially with the way I feel NASCAR handled it at Michigan. NASCAR will have to find a way to fix that issue. I mean, why did that many cars go around the track and not follow the pace car down pitroad. I think NASCAR had a serious miscommunication with the pace car not following orders to do another lap on the track, which is what the other cars apparently heard was going to happen. 155.
