If anything I would guess the 99 could withdraw since it's been well off the pace every time it's raced so far. But, if post #2 is correct, maybe they're sliding the normal 00 motor over to the 99 to give it a better shot this weekend? I think we'll see just how bad the 99 is down on power with Landon at the wheel, since he has a reputation for getting half-decent restrictor plate finishes out of 35th-place cars. 6. 34McDowellFan posted: 07.03.2018 - 12:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The #23 is a partnership between NY Racing Team and BK Racing 7. Coca-Cola outbid its rival to take over the name of this race in 2008 to start promoting its new diet beverage Coke Zero. In late 2017 Coca-Cola reformulated Coke Zero and renamed it Coke Zero Sugar thus this race has also been renamed as the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Kind of fitting a pop company sponsors NASCAR's big Fourth of July blow out, I imagine a lot of people are reaching for soft drinks this weekend. 12. Sure, winning 6 times more Cup races and actually a title isn't anything special, everyone has that, it seems. He's a jealous big mouth prick, nothing else. Because he's not even a shadow of his father... And just confirms that trend that the son of a famous and successful full-time driver is always worse. The only exception is Richard Petty. 450. Of course not, because it's so easy to get it, no? Come on... It's just a number, yes, but winning that many races does mean something. And it's definitely impressive, because Kyle actually had to deal with NASCAR's inconsistency and tougher competition. And he wasn't always with the strongest team in the field running the strongest car. 452. It wasn't mentioned because it's not that big of a deal. You're the only that seems to care. I never said Kyle Busch wasn't special when it came to racing. I'm saying when he gets 200 wins combined in all three series that it isn't that big of a deal. And it isn't. "Because he's not even a shadow of his father... And just confirms that trend that the son of a famous and successful full-time driver is always worse. The only exception is Richard Petty." Davey Allison and Dale Jarrett were pretty darn good. Both are Hall of Fame drivers like their dads. "And it's definitely impressive, because Kyle actually had to deal with NASCAR's inconsistency and tougher competition. And he (Kyle Busch) wasn't always with the strongest team in the field running the strongest car." LOL, now that might be one of the more moronic comments on here. I'd say at least 75% of his Xfinity and Truck Series wins he was a HEAVY FAVORITE due to being on the best team with the best car/truck. Quite frankly, 75% is probably being too generous. It's the main reason why it's not that impressive. It's more of a joke where he has had far better equipment in both of those series. To suggest otherwise is moronic. To be honest, he should already have surpassed 200 combined wins. He definitely should have more Cup wins. He should have 55-60 wins in Cup already. He's been in top equipment his whole career. His equipment in trucks and Xfinity have been far and above better than his competition. It's a lot more impressive so far he has won on every NASCAR Cup track that he's raced on than approaching 200 combined wins (he still needs a Daytona 500). It's not that big of a deal considering the equipment he has had when he has done his bushwhacking and truckwacking. Sorry, but he's forever going to be labeled as the greatest buschwacker of all time more so than getting 200 combined wins. 453. Mannoroth posted: 07.23.2018 - 1:29 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) 452. I'm just surprised that people who love statistics like me, failed to mention it. And it's not common that some team takes it that far to win 300 races in only 2 series. Yes, but those two are still worse than their fathers... That's the point - no one besides Richard Petty had more wins and titles than his father. And Richard Petty running far better equipment, winning sometimes by many laps isn't a joke? It's the same, Cup Series just had those stupid smaller races to increase the amount of wins rapidly... Plus, he didn't have the best equipment with Hendrick, because he used to have 2 separate shops for his 4 cars. Kyle was unfortunate that his car was from the second one, that was worse. It isn't normal that someone so young suddenly wins 8 races in just 22 starts with some other elite team, when he won just twice as less races in his entire career with Hendrick, who was on the same level as Gibbs. Say what you want, but Petty was fortunate he raced in the era where inconsistency of NASCAR's decisions didn't exist, so he has never been robbed for the win by a stupid caution, for example (The biggest joke ever was a caution with 2 laps to go at Phoenix in 2014 in Xfinity, where Kyle was leading and was about 50 meters from taking the white flag.). The only one robbed is Bobby Allison and that's the only example I remember... 454. You seriously think that one driver gives up his chance for winning to help his teammate win? This ain't Formula 1 and it wasn't any round of the playoff, where it would help a teammate to advance. 462. Daniel Suarez would be one of the first drivers that were eliminated either way, so what's the point of making the playoff in his case? To make it impressive like SHR with all their cars in the playoff and Harvick being actually the only car able to win the title? The same would be in JGR as well, because Hamlin and Jones weren't exactly strong in 2018, so it was just on Kyle to get it done. And as we know, they both failed. It's like saying that the championship is everything and it's a goal for every driver to win it. Really? I'm sure drivers like Chris Buescher, David Ragan or Michael McDowell definitely know they don't have a chance at all, before the season starts... They just race, because they love racing, but they know they're not good enough to win the title. 464. He fishtailed a couple times but did not spin, and lost a lap in the pits as his crew taped the quarter panel back together. Two cautions and close to 60 laps later, Erik finally got the free pass when Kyle Larson cut his tire down and spun out in front of Stenhouse, and through a combination of talent and luck raced his way into the lead draft and ultimately into victory lane. 465. Rewatch the last lap--Buescher wins if AJ keeps pushing him. Not surprisingly, AJ was not offered another contract for JTG, who picked a part time Xfinity driver to replace him. I can't even imagine JTG's briefing the next Monday when AJ decides to bail on his teammate. 467.
