Kyle Larson was a turn away from winning 4 straight cup races. Then
inexplicably, his tire went down, sending him straight into the wall.
His Hendrick Motorsports Teammate Alex Bowman then came by to steal the
win.

Kyle Larson could have joined Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip, Dale
Earnhardt, Harry Gant, Bill Elliott, Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie
Johnson as drivers who won four races in a row in the modern era,
instead, his left front goes flat going into to turn 3 handing the win
to his Hendrick stablemate, Alex Bowman. Mr. Right Place at the Right time.

Larson would have had a great chance at getting the record of winning
five in a row today at the second Pocono race in the same car. Rick
Allen gave him the broadcast jinx shortly after crossing the finish line
taking the white flag stating that it was going to be a "historic day"
for Larson. Ken Squier was known for that as well.

Of course, Jeff Burton had to bring up Dale Earnhardt blowing his tire
on the last lap of the 1990 Daytona 500 while leading.
