Bubba Wallace becomes the first African American to win a race since
Wendell Scott back in the 1960's, winning a rain-shortened Talladega
race in which he also made history in becoming the first non-Playoff
driver to win a race during the Playoffs in the elimination era.

Also all three races this weekend have been won by a first time winner.
Tate Fogleman, Brandon Brown, and now Bubba. That certainly hasn't
happened since I started watching NASCAR in 2012, all three series
running at the same track in the same week and all three having a race
won by someone who has never won in their respective series before. (I'd
have to imagine that's like 1 in a million or billion.)

Didn't watch the race, but when they decided to call it off and do the
winner's interview was it in a place where the fans could be heard? You
know, like on Saturday, heh heh heh?

@2: At a normal track you might be right with those odds. At Talladega
with rain in the equation not so much. Still congrats to them all and
not to detract from the accomplishment but a rain race at a plate track
has to be the flukiest outcome possible in NASCAR. And I'm glad to see
we can still post comments, if you know how.

That's his first points win of a McDonald's sponsor since 1994, with
Jimmy Spencer at Talladega.

The Golden Arches streaks 27 years and 9934 days without visit the
victory lane on a points race.

His last win in fact, was Bill Elliott in one of the 2000 Twins 125.

Chris Knight just confirmed what I thought in @2. More history. First
time EVER three races in a weekend with a first time winner at the same
track.
