Notes from this race:
- Chase Elliott ran with flapping rear bumper for laps. Admittedly, rear
bumpers are an optional-to-fix item on road courses, but it was seen as
a safety hazard in which NASCAR has black flagged drivers for that (at
least on ovals; issue here that there's no such precedents for road
courses).
- Elliott also found his feud with Kevin Harvick (from Talladega)
continuing; Harvick bumped into him in the last stage, Elliott then said
"don't worry" in response to CC telling him to "get a chance to wreck
him", seemingly seen as some as a wreck threat (something that can lead
to parking if actually happened; see Harvick vs Coy Gibbs in 2002).
Harvick instead wrecked himself out of the playoffs. As of now, NASCAR
has warned both to stop their feuds:
