One race run in 1957, which was red-flagged due to a dangerous accident on lap 116 of 200. The track was rebuilt in 1990 as a 1/3 Paved Oval, and still occasionally active for Flat Track racing. 2. On the Santa Clara Country Fairgrounds there is an Exhibition Hall. That, and the building just SW of it were behind the grandstands. The track ran through the current grassy area. This was just before the S/F line. You can see the curve of trees in the 3rd turn. This matches the track compared with the houses from the 1980 map. I think the backstretch went along the driving path beside the angles semi trailers or containers or whatever they are. I think the second turn was on or just inside of the curved road on the north edge of the lower parking lot. 6. You can still see a bit of the outline of the old horse track with a tree line at 37°18'06.1"N 121°50'49.3"W Interestingly, much of the actual ground that held auto racing now appears to be used for a different kind of racing as a BMX bike facility 7.
