Is it safe to call Caraway the unofficial "home track" of the Whelen
Southern Modified Tour?

Caraway Speedway was built in 1966. It remained a dirt track until 1972
when it joined the Nascar Weekkly Racing Series Family as a .455 mile
oval asphalt short track. Russell & Valastra Hackett have owned &
operated the track since 1977.

In '98 - 99 half a million dollars was spent repaving the track surface,
reconstructing the track retaining walls, refurbishing the grandstands,
concreting the walkway in front of the grandstands, new flag stand, new
press box/tower and the adding of new fencin

In 2000 the track seen one million dollars of renovation for new
reserved grandstand seating, beautifully landscaped new entrance, ticket
booth, restroom, concession stand, restroom and scoreboard.

Track is still very active though it seems to have lost it's spots with
any prominent national tours.

@4 - fake news (and abysmal spelling). Caraway is still planning to open
once the Governor allows racing to resume, they're certainly not
planning to tear it down.

of the tracks added to the lower series soon
