Speedway closed in 1964. .5 mile Dirt Oval. Hosted the 1964 season
finale. Racetrack location now covered in forest. Jacksonville, North
Carolina now has a speedway called coastal plains raceway, which holds
late model racing and drag racing.

I first learned about this track in seventh grade, I had no idea this
track existed up to that point because the only track in my home area
that i knew of was Coastal Plains Raceway.
