Closed in 1954; site now a shopping center. 2. RaceFanX posted: 12.29.2015 - 12:49 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Track programs apparently called it the "Home of the Feud Races." I wonder why they named it Princess Anne Speedway? Britain had a Princess Anne born in 1950 but that seems a stretch. There's a Princess Anne, Maryland but it's more than 100 miles away from this track. 3. Aldo posted: 01.28.2016 - 5:41 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Someone knows the exact location of this track? 4. The oval was on the south side of Dam Neck Road, at the cross with Taylor Farm Road. There are some trees that can give you an imagine of what the track was. 5. Actually the track belongs to Virginia Beach, VA. 7. Aldo posted: 02.03.2016 - 9:12 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) There were three speedways in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach aerea. Actually the only speedway in Norfolk was on the site in which JANAF shopping centers is now (intersections of North Militay Road, East Virginia Beach Boulevard and Lowery Road). I think this one was Norfolk Speedway. In the intersection between North Witchduck Road and Virginia Boulevard, the was another speedway often called Chinese Corner. I think this one was Virginia Beach Speedway. This one is actually in Virginia Beach. Going futher away from Norfolk, always in Virginia Beach, there was an oval near the intersection between Dam Neck Road and Taylor Farm Road. This is near Princess Anne town, so I suppose this was Princess Anne Speedway. NASCAR raced in the first and third tracks. Is it right? 8. The track was located on Princess Anne Rd a few miles NW of the community of Princess Anne. The 1955 map shows the track. The 65 shows the track is a path, and the 1971 map shows power lines have been put up. Happens that the lines are at the very edge of third turn. The lines are still there so going by all that, the track is on Princess Anne Rd just SE of Twinflower Lane. As of now it has been shut down for 64 years so I think even the aerial traces are gone. Maybe something on the ground. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
