Located in Coeburn, Va. Almost a carbon copy of North Wilksboro, lots of
drivers have won here like Bobby Issac and Alan Kulwicki. My hometown
track, and I love this place.

What is the record speed at Race Lonesome Pine at Coeburn?

Track is currently known as "Lonesome Pine Raceway."

Facility suspended operations for this season.

Will be going dirt next year as Clay Valley Speedway.

Clay Valley Speedway got off to a pretty good start in 2019, and the
fans and drivers alike came filing in pretty quickly, but iffy operating
costs and SIX rainouts in the first two months (I believe it was six
rainouts in a row, don't quote me on that) left the track in a poor
economic state. It shut down midyear and has been dormant since. It's in
fantastic condition for any businessmen interested in operating it when
local racing resumes.

Track re-opened this month with a fresh repave done to 3/4 of the
surface~ The name has been changed back to "Lonesome Pine Raceway"~ Very
good crowd for the first night, and the new surface provided some
excellent racing all around~
