Motor Mile Speedway is the same track that hosted four Busch Series
races between 1989 and 1992 and used to be known as New River Valley
Speedway. It would be nice to see the stats for these races merged under
one track.

Track length is only 40% of what is advertised, so I hope the same
applies for its ticket prices.

The "Mile" portion of the name Motor Mile Speedway does not refer to the
length of the racetrack. Larry Shelor, owner of a successful auto
dealership company called Shelor Motor Mile, purchased the New River
Valley Speedway in 2004 and renamed the track Motor Mile Speedway after
his dealership company.

After a year of inactivity save for testing, Motor Mile Speedway will
reopen to a limited racing program in 2019. Its drag strip and other
facilities remained open throughout 2018.
