RaceFanX posted: 04.01.2010 - 1:11 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The Detroit Street Circuit was located near the Detroit River and set-up around the Renaissance Center, the worldwide HQ for General Motors. The course featured 17 corners and drew comparisons to Monaco for being a slow and tricky street course (in fact, it was SLOWER than Monaco). The track included a small tunnel that enclosed a small right hand turn by the river and a railroad crossing. It was eventually replaced by the racetrack set up on Belle Isle 2.
