Looks like the 3, 4 turns are just to the northwest of the Home Depot store and the 1/2 turns are just to the east of the Target. Turns might be reversed but it doesn't matter. Maybe it is my imagination but it definitely looks like a pattern in the trees. If anybody knows anything at all I would love to hear more definite info. the only item on my bucket list os to walk every track that NASCAR has ever used, even if it means walking around a mall. If you have info please send to usserya@hotmail.com MOD, I hope you can let me include my contact info as I gather details of the obscure tracks. 6. It is definitely visible on a 1952 aerial view in the location described above, over and to the north and west of Home Depot and Target. It all confused me because there is another town named Bainbridge in more rural Ohio that has an old faded track visible, but it looks like it was just a running track. This track looked to still be very much in use in a 1962 aerial view, and in decent shape in a 1970 view. It was still very discernible in 1994 and the outline was still strong in 2004. By 2006, the track area was being obliterated by nameless big box sprawl. In the 60's and 70's there were barns visible, and it must have had a fairly long history as a horse track. North Market Place exiting the Home Depot big box area to the north crosses right across the former track. At 7000 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls, OH, one is standing just north of the old track. Crazy that this place hosted Tim and Fonty Flock, Lee Petty, Tony Bettenhausen, and Rex Mays ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
