Took over the Memorial Day Indy event, when it was canceled cause of world war 1, with a 250 mile race. It closed in 1919 due to the wood boards not weathering well outdoors. 2. The training site remains in use today. The site where this track once stood was reused in 1928 for another race track when the midget car-focused Coney Island Motor Speedway was built here. It operated through 1935. 3. Noah posted: 08.03.2019 - 1:03 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Part of the track was supposedly sold to local bars around the area and became bartops 4.
